We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects across Southern California. This role is responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through closeout while coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
This opportunity is ideal for a project manager who has experience working for a general contractor managing ground-up or major tenant improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through final completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure scope alignment
- Manage subcontractor bids, buyouts, and contract negotiations
- Track project progress and proactively resolve schedule or cost issues
- Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams and external partners
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Oversee change orders, RFIs, and submittals
- Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Experience working for a general contractor preferred
- Background managing ground-up construction or large tenant improvement projects
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and project controls
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors and field teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills
