Job purpose

The Salesforce Platform Manager is responsible for owning the strategic direction, architecture, governance, and long-term health of BELAY’s Salesforce ecosystem. This role elevates Salesforce leadership beyond traditional administration by combining people leadership with deep technical and architectural expertise.

This leader serves as the platform authority, translating business strategy into scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions. They are accountable for reducing technical debt, improving system scalability, strengthening governance, and elevating the effectiveness and technical maturity of the Salesforce Admin team. While this is a leadership role, it requires a hands-on mindset and the ability to engage directly in complex builds, escalations, and high-impact initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities

As a BELAY Manager, you will professionally represent the company in all virtual and in-person interactions. You are expected to exemplify our mission, vision, and core values daily, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment

Functional Platform Leadership

  • Align Salesforce platform strategy to company objectives, driving scalable growth, operational efficiency, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with leadership to shape the platform roadmap and own execution and technical direction, sequencing work based on business impact, ROI, risk reduction, and delivery capacity.
  • Operate within defined budgets and resourcing constraints, making intentional tradeoffs between speed, scope, and sustainability.
  • Lead Salesforce initiatives across a complex portfolio of concurrent, business-critical projects through structured planning, architectural oversight, delegation, and delivery accountability, with direct involvement as needed to ensure momentum and quality.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Revenue, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Technology to translate business priorities into scalable system solutions.
  • Leverage analytics, adoption metrics, and performance data to prioritize enhancements, identify risks, and guide evidence-based decisions.
  • Recommend deferral or de-scoping when demand exceeds capacity to protect platform stability and delivery quality.
  • Anticipate scalability challenges, integration risks, and architectural constraints to proactively mitigate technical debt.
  • Stay current on Salesforce platform innovation, AI capabilities, and automation best practices to continuously mature the platform.
  • Own Salesforce platform strategy, architecture, and long-term system health across Sales Cloud and adjacent tools.
  • Oversee complex implementations and provide technical direction to vendors, consultants, and partners.
  • Maintain scalable data structures and automation patterns that improve data quality and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner on AI, automation, and optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and platform maturity.
  • Drive user adoption through enablement strategies, training standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain SOPs, architectural documentation, and design standards for Salesforce workflows and integrations.
  • Develop and review platform performance metrics, adoption reporting, and system health indicators to inform roadmap prioritization.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Salesforce Administrators through one-on-ones, design reviews, mentorship, and skills development planning.
  • Balance workload across the Salesforce Admin team to maximize capacity and delivery reliability.
  • Ensure the team is staffed with technically capable, engaged, and growth-oriented talent.
  • Set clear expectations, performance goals, and accountability for delivery quality and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and high standards across the platform team.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, role definition, and succession planning for Salesforce capabilities.

Qualifications

This role requires a motivated and trustworthy self-starter with strong communication and technological skills, who thrives independently and as part of a team, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done! The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is equally comfortable shaping long-term architecture strategy and executing tactical solutions.

  • BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of progressive Salesforce experience, including architecture, advanced configuration, and integration work
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing Salesforce Administrators or platform teams
  • Demonstrated experience owning Salesforce platform strategy and roadmap development
  • Strong experience designing scalable data models, automation frameworks (Flow-first approach), security models, and integration architecture
  • Experience reducing technical debt and implementing governance and release management standards
  • Hands-on experience with complex implementations and vendor management
  • Salesforce certifications strongly preferred, such as:
    • Salesforce Administrator
    • Advanced Administrator
    • Platform App Builder
    • Platform Developer I
    • Architect certifications (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with AI-enabled Salesforce tools, automation initiatives, and data quality optimization strategies preferred
  • Experience working in a high-growth, multi-departmental environment preferred
