About the role

As a Product Manager at BigHand, you will lead the strategic direction and lifecycle management of enterprise B2B software products within a broader suite. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, customer empathy, data fluency, and strong communication skills.

You will be responsible for ensuring product strategy is aligned to BigHand’s broader company strategy and commercial objectives. You’ll also need to be comfortable working with a range of data sources from revenue performance to user behavior to qualitative feedback to support hypotheses, validate direction, and shape product decisions. You’ll need to be skilled at engaging deeply with clients to uncover needs and understand business context quickly, whether in the legal sector or across other professional services. Comfort with transitions, whether it's cloud adoption, platform evolution, or moving clients between products is helpful, as many of our customers are at different stages of technical readiness and adoption.

This is a leadership role where you’ll work cross-functionally with, engineering, sales, marketing, design and client success teams to ensure the product vision is understood, the strategy is clear, and initiatives stay aligned. While you will be partnered with a Product Owner to help manage the backlog and delivery processes, you are ultimately accountable for ensuring your product delivers meaningful business and customer outcomes.

What you’ll do

Product Leadership & Strategy

  • Drive the product lifecycle for an enterprise B2B product suite, from early-stage discovery to maturity and sunsetting.

  • Define a clear roadmap that aligns with both company strategy and evolving market conditions.

  • Evaluate opportunities for innovation, reinvestment, or rationalization within your product area.

  • Lead initiatives that span multiple functions and teams, keeping stakeholders aligned, motivated, and focused on outcomes.

Client Insight & Market Understanding

  • Build relationships with a diverse range of clients, adapting quickly to their processes and pain points.

  • Develop a deep understanding of both users and buyers, ensuring product decisions support both audiences.

  • Maintain relationships with industry partners to drive shared value for clients via integrations or collaboration.

  • Leverage experience with clients in transition—technical, operational, or organizational—to support adoption and ongoing value.

  • Communicate with users using a wide array of methods such as discovery calls, usability testing, webinars, thought leadership articles, and in-person presentations.

Discovery & User Research

  • Proactively design and lead product discovery activities to validate assumptions, inform direction, and reduce risk.

  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand market dynamics, trends, and opportunities for differentiation.

  • Address data gaps or inconclusive insights by structuring effective user outreach, interviews, and testing.

  • Confidently manage ambiguity and move initiatives forward through progressive de-risking and insight generation.

Data Analysis & Insight

  • Analyze customer feedback and market data to shape product direction.

  • Review and interpret revenue metrics and adoption trends to support prioritization and investment decisions.

  • Use data to support business cases, articulate ROI, and track success against product and company goals.

Cross-Functional Execution & Communication

  • Partner with a dedicated Product Owner to ensure the backlog is aligned with strategic goals and delivery plans.

  • Work closely with engineering, design, client success, sales, and marketing to align priorities, execution, and go-to-market readiness.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with clarity and purpose, ensuring teams understand what success looks like and why it matters.

  • Communicate proactively and effectively to ensure all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned to the desired outcomes.

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager with a strong focus on enterprise B2B software.

  • Experience aligning product strategy with broader company and commercial goals.

  • Comfortable analyzing product usage data, revenue trends, and customer feedback to shape strategy.

  • Experience working directly with clients.

  • Effective at translating technical concepts to non-technical users and stakeholders.

  • Ability to design and lead discovery and user research efforts without relying on a centralized research team.

  • Confident and engaging presenter with experience communicating with executive buyers and external audiences.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of keeping teams focused, motivated, and aligned.

  • Understanding of the distinctions between user and buyer needs and how to represent both in decision-making.

  • Experience working with law firms or in the legal tech industry would be advantageous.
