The Natural Gas Operations Manager will lead and oversee our gas scheduling and operational support function across teams in Austin and Medellín Colombia. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely confirmations, nominations, balancing, invoicing support, and ETRM (Entrade) management across our natural gas portfolio.
This leader will drive operational excellence, strengthen cross-functional coordination with Trading, Accounting, and Risk, and build scalable processes that support portfolio growth. The ideal candidate combines deep pipeline scheduling expertise with strong people leadership skills and the ability to remain composed in fast-moving, deadline-driven environments.
This position can be based in Austin (in-person) or Houston (remote), with regular travel required to support team cohesion and performance.
Lead and develop a high-performing scheduling team across Austin and Medellín.
Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability standards.
Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development.

Coordinate and ensure proper coverage, including during nights and weekends.
Oversee confirmation of traded volumes and gas nominations across pipeline and utility systems.
Ensure timely and accurate scheduling across all physical positions.
Monitor operational constraints and pipeline conditions; proactively escalate risks.
Drive daily and monthly balancing accuracy across systems and counterparties.
Supervise mapping of gas flows and volume balancing within the ETRM (Entrade) to ensure accurate P&L and invoicing.
Ensure operational risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated in real time.
Maintain strong controls around transportation capacity, imbalances, penalties, and exposure.
Oversee review and approval of pipeline transportation invoices.
Lead investigation and resolution of invoice discrepancies in coordination with Accounting.
Ensure accurate data flow between scheduling, ETRM, and financial reporting systems.
Continuously improve operational processes and internal controls to support growth and audit readiness.
Serve as primary escalation point for operational issues with pipelines, utilities, customers, and counterparties.
Build and maintain strong external relationships to foster goodwill and operational reliability.
Communicate clearly and proactively across Trading, Risk, Accounting, and Leadership.
