About the Role

We are looking for German and English bilingual speakers based in Asia to join a short-term remote project supporting AI language development.

In this role, you will listen to German audio recordings and transcribe them accurately. The recordings reflect natural, everyday speech across different accents, age groups, and speaking styles. Your work will help AI systems better understand real German voices.

This is a structured, task-based project ideal for those who can consistently dedicate several hours per day and are comfortable working independently in a remote setup.

If you’re comfortable working with audio, detail-oriented, and can commit a few hours a day, this project is for you.

Requirements

What will I be doing?

  • Listen to audio clips and transcribe them clearly in German
  • Split audio into appropriate sections based on natural speech flow
  • Label speakers when more than one voice is present
  • Add simple tags where required (e.g. gender, age range, emotion)
  • Follow quality and annotation guidelines carefully
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Project Manager
  • Complete assigned tasks within the given timeline

What do I need?

  • Fluent in German and English (required)
  • Comfortable reading and writing in both German and English
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to understand various German accents and speaking styles
  • Should have B1/B2 proficiency or higher, with strong confidence in writing, listening, and reading
  • Detail-oriented and patient, able to maintain at least 95% accuracy
  • Willing to ask questions when unsure
  • Laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection
  • Ability to manage your own time and meet deadlines
  • Willing to complete a pre-assessment as part of the screening process
    • Complete the pre-assessment here: https://forms.gle/iC6vJL2qfNewLhD39
    • Carefully read and follow all instructions. Accuracy, attention to detail, and completeness are essential.
    • Please note that if you do not hear from us within three weeks, you have not been selected for training.
  • Bonus point: previous experience in transcription, data labelling, or AI-related projects

Project Details

  • Duration: 2 months
  • Time commitment: Around 4–7 hours per day
  • Onboarding Training: Mandatory (TBD, during office hours 9am–6pm GMT +8)
  • Working hours: Flexible (tasks can be completed anytime in the given deadline)
  • Project period: March – April 2026

Benefits

  • Work remotely!
  • Be part of an AI project representing real German speech and accents
  • Priority consideration for future opportunities
  • Gain hands-on experience in AI and language data work
  • Contribute to building smarter and more inclusive technology
