We're seeking a Vendor Manager to be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, communicating, and managing relationships with contract manufacturers. This role involves issuing and tracking purchase orders (POs), managing vendor performance, and ensuring timely and cost-effective production of products aligned with quality and regulatory standards and brand expectations. The Vendor Manager will report to the Vice President of Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract manufacturers and ingredient suppliers
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvements, and lead time reductions
  • Resolve supply chain or production issues in a timely and effective manner

Purchase Order & Production Scheduling Management

  • Issue, track, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) from creation to delivery
  • Maintains PO data accuracy in NetSuite
  • Manages all PO date changes, confirmations, and delivery comms
  • Monitor production schedules and inventory levels to ensure fulfillment timelines are met
  • Ensure raw materials and packaging are sourced to meet quality standards and production timelines
  • Owns final production schedule and run timing
  • Communicates with co-mans about delays and constraints
  • Manages capacity, slot timing, and utilization
  • Monitors performance (yields, timing, efficiency)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Aligns with internal teams on timing and communicates updated delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and R&D teams to ensure all products meet required standards
  • Support continuous improvement across vendor-related workflows and supply chain processes

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in vendor management, supply chain, or operations
  • Experience working directly with contract manufacturers (preferably in supplements, nutraceuticals, or pharmaceuticals)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing, procurement processes and inventory systems
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP or inventory management software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines with a high attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field (preferred)

Salary: $75,000-85,000 annually

Location: Remote or Hybrid (if in the SLC, UT area)
