About Us

Concord isn't your typical consulting firm; we are an execution company with a passion for making things happen. Our mission is to help clients enhance customer experiences, optimize operations, and revolutionize their product offerings through seamless integration, optimization, and activation of technology and data.

We are purpose-built, merging the industry’s top specialty companies to amplify our Innovation Capabilities in analytics & AI, data management & engineering, UX and digital experience, and technical platform integration, automation & security engineering.

About the Role
The Lead System Architect serves as the technical visionary and highest-level Pega authority on the engagement. This individual will oversee the end-to-end architecture of a new multi-tenant SaaS Grievances and Appeals application built on Pega Constellation, drawing on an existing on-premises Pega application as a baseline for requirements and design patterns. The LSA is accountable for all architectural decisions, technical governance, and ensuring the platform is designed for scalability, configurability, and healthcare-grade compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall technical architecture for the Pega Constellation-based multi-tenant SaaS Grievances and Appeals platform.
  • Analyze and translate requirements derived from the existing on-premises Pega application into a modernized, SaaS-ready architecture.
  • Establish multi-tenancy patterns, tenant isolation strategies, and configuration layering within Pega.
  • Provide architectural guidance on Pega data models, case design, decisioning, integrations, and security for the health insurance domain.
  • Lead and mentor the System Architect team, including Senior System Architects and System Architects.
  • Collaborate with the Business Architect and UI Architect leads to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Establish and enforce Pega guardrails, coding standards, and best practices across the development team.
  • Drive sprint planning, technical story elaboration, and architecture runway activities.
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders and technical leads to address architectural concerns and decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS regulations, and state-specific grievance and appeals mandates as they relate to the platform design.

What We Are Looking For

  • Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA) credential required.
  • 8+ years of Pega development and architecture experience, with at least 3 years in a Lead System Architect capacity.
  • Proven experience architecting Pega applications in the healthcare payer or managed care space, preferably involving Grievances and Appeals or utilization management workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of Pega Constellation UI framework; experience migrating from older Pega UI frameworks (e.g., Pega 7 / Classic UI) to Constellation preferred.
  • Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS solutions on Pega, including tenant separation, ruleset layering, and operational configuration.
  • Deep familiarity with Pega's Case Management, Decision Management, and Integration frameworks.
  • Experience with Pega Cloud or Pega SaaS deployments.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing, member services, and regulatory compliance (NCQA, CMS, state DOI requirements).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
