The Senior Manager of Operations is responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving the company’s operational engine. This role ensures that company strategy translates into consistent, high-quality execution across teams by establishing clear operating rhythms, scalable processes, and strong accountability.
Reporting to the COO, the Senior Manager of Operations serves as a key cross-functional integrator and execution partner to the Executive team. This role focuses on removing operational friction, aligning priorities across departments, and enabling the organization to scale efficiently while maintaining clarity, focus, and speed.
Responsibilities:

  • Operational execution & cadence
  • Translating executive priorities into clear operational plans, timelines, and outcomes
  • Establishing and running operating rhythms including quarterly planning, business reviews, and execution check-ins
  • Tracking progress against company and divisional goals; surface risks and drive timely decisions
  • Process design & optimization
  • Designing, documenting, and standardizing cross-functional processes that improve efficiency and clarity
  • Identifying operational bottlenecks and lead initiatives to eliminate rework, handoff failures, and ambiguity
  • Partnering with functional leaders to improve how work flows across the organization
  • Metrics, accountability & insight
  • Defining and owning operational KPIs and dashboards in partnership with Finance and Analytics
  • Ensuring leaders are accountable to outcomes, not just activity
  • Leading root-cause analysis and corrective action when performance misses targets
  • Cross-functional leadership
  • Leading high-impact initiatives that span multiple departments where no single function owns the outcome
  • Acting as a neutral integrator to resolve competing priorities and align teams
  • Influencing and partnering effectively with VPs and Directors without direct authority
  • Organizational scale & effectiveness
  • Partnering with People/HR and Finance on org design, capacity planning, and operational readiness
  • Supporting leaders as teams grow, reorganize, or take on new scope
  • Helping build repeatable systems that support sustainable growth
  • COO partnership
  • Serving as an extension of the COO on priority initiatives and special projects
  • Taking ownership of major programs the COO delegates
  • Providing clear, concise insight to the executive team on execution health and operational risk
  • Scope & Leadership
  • Managing Directors, Senior Managers, and/or a Program Management function
  • Operating at a company-wide level with visibility across all major functions
  • Regularly interfacing with the executive team

  • Requirements:

  • Required
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, business operations, program management, or related roles
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a scaling organization
  • Strong systems thinker with the ability to design processes that work in practice
  • Exceptional executive communication skills—clear, direct, and outcome-focused
  • Track record of holding teams accountable while building strong relationships
  • Preferred
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, technology, or professional services organizations
  • Prior experience reporting to or working closely with a COO or executive leadership team
  • Experience building or leading a PMO or company-wide operating cadence
  • What Success Looks Like
  • The organization executes with clarity, consistency, and accountability
  • Cross-functional initiatives move forward without friction or confusion
  • Leaders have clear visibility into performance and risks
  • The COO is able to focus on strategy, growth, and leadership—confident that execution is in capable hands
