The Manager of Program Management, Data Innovation and Enablement, is a strategic leader responsible for driving complex, high-impact data initiatives that transform how the organization uses data to deliver business value. This includes leading programs that embed AI, machine learning, and automation into data operations, platform capabilities, and governance processes.
In addition to overseeing a portfolio of programs, this leader will build and standardize delivery practices, lead and mentor a small but high-performing team, and ensure alignment between execution and enterprise strategy. The role is critical in translating data and technology transformation into real, measurable outcomes for both the business and its customers.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Lead Strategic Programs: Manage and deliver cross-functional initiatives that support the data strategy, with a focus on AI/ML enablement, automation, data governance, and data platform modernization.
- Customer & Business Impact Focus: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements that center on customer outcomes and operational efficiency, ensuring programs deliver tangible business value.
- Develop Standards & Workflows: Create and evolve program and project delivery standards, frameworks, and workflows that drive consistency, efficiency, and repeatable success across the Chief Data Office.
- Mentor and Lead a High-Impact Team: Manage, develop, and inspire a small team of program and project managers; foster professional growth, strong execution, and a collaborative team culture.
- Portfolio Management: Own the planning, prioritization, and execution of the data program portfolio, including dependency management and resource planning across cross-functional teams.
- Change Management & Communication: Develop and execute change management and communication plans to ensure successful adoption of new programs, technologies, and operating models.
- Governance & Risk Management: Lead program governance forums, manage risks and interdependencies, and drive timely decision-making and accountability.
- Impact & Measurement: Define and track KPIs that measure program success, adoption, automation ROI, data quality improvements, and strategic alignment.
Success Measures:
- Program Delivery: 90%+ of programs delivered on time, within scope and budget, with defined success metrics met or exceeded.
- AI/ML & Automation Impact: Tangible automation and AI-driven efficiencies achieved (e.g., reduced manual effort, increased data processing speed, improved accuracy).
- Customer-Centric Outcomes: Evidence of business and customer impact through increased adoption, reduced friction, and measurable user (internal and external) satisfaction improvements.
- Standardization & Scalability: Delivery frameworks and workflows institutionalized across 100% of strategic data initiatives.
- Team Development: High team engagement and retention; 100% of team members with documented development plans and regular coaching sessions.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Clearly defined roles and accountability across stakeholders and/or functions.
- Governance Maturity: Increased adoption of program governance practices, with 100% of major initiatives reviewed via governance forums.
- Transformation Visibility: Clear, consistent executive reporting on progress and value across programs; regular impact updates delivered to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in data, digital transformation, or technology-focused environments.
- Proven experience delivering AI/ML, automation, or data transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success developing program standards, workflows, or governance models.
- Strong leadership experience, including team management, coaching, and performance development.
- Familiarity with data governance, platform strategy, and compliance frameworks.
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar certification preferred.
