About the Role
We are hiring a Data Engineer (AWS / Time-Series) to support an Australian-based client operating at the intersection of energy markets, fintech, and advanced analytics.

This is a full-time, permanent work-from-home position focused on building automated data pipelines, managing high-frequency time-series data, and ensuring reliable data availability for downstream analytics and pricing models.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and maintain Python-based ETL and data ingestion pipelines
• Ingest, process, and store high-volume, time-series datasets
• Design and manage AWS serverless infrastructure (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena)
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB databases for high-frequency read/write
• Automate data cleaning, normalization, and validation processes
• Support analytics, simulation, and pricing models with reliable data pipelines

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or Data Pipeline Engineer
• Strong experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena)
• Proficiency in Python for ETL, automation, and data processing
• Advanced SQL skills using PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, or similar databases
• Experience working with time-series data, market data, or high-frequency datasets
• Ability to work independently in a permanent work-from-home setup

Nice to Have:

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics)
• Experience in fintech, energy, trading, or financial data environments
