Job Description
As a Virtual School Social Worker with The Menta Education Group, you will provide direct educational and social services to students, as well as work with parents, educators, and other professionals to create supportive academic and social environments for all students
Staff Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mon-Fri, following a 10 month school calendar
Required: One of the following Licenses/Certifications: Certified School Social Worker (IL PEL Certificate), Certified School Counselor (IL PEL Certificate), MSW with LSW, LCSW, LCPC, LPC
Responsibilities
Employ data-based decision-making regarding multidisciplinary collaboration, functional behavior assessments and behavioral approachesBuild leadership to effectively help students succeedDevelop positive behavioral and academic interventionsMonitor and report student progress and complete evaluations, program evaluations, and consult with educational staff, parents, and other professionalsSome local travel to other Menta locations may be necessary at times Qualifications
One of the following Licenses/Certifications: Certified School Social Worker (IL PEL Certificate), Certified School Counselor (IL PEL Certificate), MSW with LSW, LCSW, LCPC, LPC Strong leadership and interpersonal skillsStrong consultative and data analysis abilitiesCreative thinker who can develop a wide range of interventions meeting the needs of a diverse student populationBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, but not requiredExcellent communication skills Compensation & Benefits
