Who we are:
TM Forum is a global membership alliance of 800+ organizations across the connectivity ecosystem. Members include the top 10 Communication Service Providers (CSPs), top three hyperscalers, leading Network Equipment Providers (NEP’s), and a wide range of vendors, consultancies, and system integrators.

Role Purpose
To ensure TM Forum creates and scales high-value knowledge that enables members to understand, prioritise, and execute industry transformation.

The EVP Knowledge defines and sustains a clear, current, and evidence-based industry point of view, structuring knowledge around Industry Missions and emerging topics. The role connects research, innovation, and member experience into coherent, actionable insight that drives real change.

Key Accountabilities

1. Industry Point of View & Priorities

  • Partner with Mission Leaders to ensure perspectives are evidence-based and current

  • Define and prioritise knowledge themes aligned to Missions and future trends

2. Mission-Led Knowledge Architecture

  • Align all assets (research, insights, case studies, Catalyst outputs, event content) to key priorities

  • Reduce fragmentation and improve accessibility and relevance

3. Knowledge & ODA Enablement

  • Curate and contextualise knowledge that supports understanding and adoption of ODA

  • Translate complex outputs into clear, practical insight and impact narratives

4. Research, Editorial & Governance

  • Own the research agenda and editorial standards

  • Ensure all knowledge is credible, consistent, and high quality

  • Approve content themes and knowledge structure

5. Event Content Leadership

  • Own content strategy across all events (digital and in-person)

  • Ensure programmes deliver insight, peer learning, and real-world application

6. Integration Across Missions & Innovation

  • Connect outputs from Missions, Cocreate, research, and Catalyst activity

  • Turn diverse inputs into clear, actionable narratives

7. Partnership with Marketing

  • Provide the substance and credibility of TM Forum’s point of view

  • Partner with Marketing to amplify reach, relevance, and impact

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate is a senior, credible industry leader with strong judgement and a passion for creating sustained member value through knowledge and insight, rather than through personal authorship or delivery ownership.

They are comfortable operating in complex, multistakeholder environments, where clarity, coherence, and prioritisation matter more than formal control.

They will bring:

  • Proven experience curating and distilling a clear point of view across complex subject areas, working collaboratively rather than in a silo

  • Strong ability to translate fragmented inputs (research, member perspectives, innovation activity, delivery experience) into focus and clarity

  • A clear member value mindset, understanding that knowledge only matters when it helps members understand, decide, and act

  • Credibility working with senior peers (Mission Leaders, Product, Marketing) and the confidence to challenge constructively

  • Experience leading knowledge, insight, research, analyst, or content capabilities at scale, including conference content and insight teams

Success Measures

Success in this role is defined by the extent to which TM Forum’s knowledge consistently delivers tangible and perceived value to members, demonstrated by:

  • A set of clear, trusted, Missionled topical points of view that is current, coherent, and actively used by Mission Leaders, Marketing, and Product teams to guide priorities and engagement.

  • Events (digital and inperson) that attract the right audiences and deliver strong experiences, evidenced by attendance from Mission target personas, positive audience and speaker feedback (e.g. NPS), and stages that attract the best content in the industry.

  • Insight products that are commercially sustainable, with research, benchmarking, and insight assets forming a selffunding portfolio aligned to priorities agreed with the Commercial Director.

  • Knowledge that informs action and change, with clear evidence that insights, case studies, and learning influence Mission focus, Cocreate activity, and member decisionmaking.

  • Member engagement driven by relevance and usefulness, reflected in positive sentiment and sustained consumption of knowledge because members find it valuable, not simply because it is promoted.

  • Greater organisational focus and coherence, with reduced duplication across knowledge, events, and insight activity, and strong alignment between Knowledge, Missions, Marketing, Commercial, and Product teams.
