We are seeking an experienced Data Conversion Test Lead for an opportunity with a large Federal customer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience supporting Momentum testing and data conversion activities in large federal ERP programs in a federal agency. The Data Conversion Test Lead will support the project leadership and the program by leading data conversion testing activities and a team of data conversion testers for an implementation release as part of the overall program. This will include testing ETL logic, validating conversion loads, and supporting cutover readiness with mock conversions. The Data Conversion Test Lead should be a self-starter who demonstrates leadership, works well with multiple senior-level clients, and has experience in taking ownership of work assignments and project schedules. This position is remote but may require occasional domestic business trips to customer facilities primarily in Washington, DC and Austin, TX. Some overtime work may be required to support this fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project leadership and government client in planning, training, and testing of data conversion aspects of the financial system implementation and coordinate with other vendors on testing to adjudicate, resolve, and close issues. Review existing test plans and develop an updated testing plan for the data conversion components of each implementation release. Supervise a team of 2-3 data conversion testers. Execute manual and automated test scripts, document results, identify issues and defects, and prepare testing summary reports. Maintain and prioritize a testing defect log that will be shared with the government client and other vendors to track testing progress. Reconcile pre- and post-conversion financial balances. Ensure legacy fields map correctly to Momentum’s data structures and business rules. Lead data conversion team through mock conversions, validating load performance, and confirming that converted data supports golive operations. Provide technical, managerial, or administrative direction for data conversion testing activities for the overall ERP solution.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree and 10 years of experience (or Bachelor’s Degree and 14 years of experience) in Federal financial management and ERP system implementation. Experience with leading a team of data conversion testers for a financial or acquisition system at a large government agency. 4 years experience working with Momentum Financials 4 years of related experience executing test scripts, documenting test results, and identifying issues. Knowledge of data conversion testing strategies and methodologies. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical skills and a desire to enhance those skills in a challenging, high visibility environment. Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs is a plus. Experience leading meetings and teams with senior federal customers. Experience with automated testing tools. Experience with Agility for testing.
