Role OverviewWe are looking for a part-time contractor who can act as a trusted, on-the-ground extension of our team for Japanese enterprise customers. This person will support active accounts, drive follow-ups, facilitate strategic discussions, and help progress long-cycle opportunities by bridging business, technical, and executive stakeholders. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable discussing strategy with senior executives and working through details with site engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account SupportServe as a primary point of contact for Japanese enterprise clientsRespond promptly to client questions and requests, escalating to internal teams when neededMaintain strong, consistent follow-up to ensure no opportunities stall or dropSupport clients throughout long project and sales cycles
Business Development & ExpansionIdentify expansion opportunities within existing accountsLead or support business discussions related to growth, new sites, or broader deploymentsCoordinate internal stakeholders (sales, product, engineering, leadership) to move deals forwardSupport and drive strategic partnership discussions when applicable
Stakeholder ManagementEngage effectively with:Enterprise executivesSite engineers and facility teamsProject managersSales and commercial stakeholdersFacilitate meetings, presentations, and alignment across technical and business audiences
Administrative & Operational SupportAssist with light administrative tasks related to accounts and partnershipsTrack follow-ups, action items, and next stepsHelp maintain internal documentation and CRM updates as needed
Required Qualifications
Native Japanese or fluent in Japanese (business and technical level)2+ years of experience in Sales, Account Executive, or Enterprise Account ManagementProven experience working with enterprise clientsComfortable managing long sales and project close cyclesTechnically confident and able to discuss technical concepts at a high levelStrong sense of ownership and follow-throughAble to travel occasionally to client sitesProfessional presence and confidence when interacting with senior executives
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience using tools such as Notion, Slack, SalesforceFamiliarity with AI tools to improve productivity and efficiencyComfortable presenting to senior and high-stakes stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills; enjoys relationship-building and trust-based selling
