Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it. As the Accounting Analyst at Vanta, you will be a key player on the general ledger accounting team by supporting our accounting operations with owning the employee expense and partner payables processes.  Additionally, you will perform month-end close duties, variance analysis and account reconciliations.  We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can quickly make an impact, demonstrating a results-driven approach and strong motivation to contribute to the organization. What you’ll do as a Accounting Analyst at Vanta:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Process and verify expense reimbursements for payment and facilitate sync to NetSuite</li><li>Maintain the expense reimbursement tool and ensure functionality is consistent with best practices</li><li>Compile partner payables and review data for reporting and accuracy</li><li>Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the general ledger ensuring correct coding and documentation</li><li>Reconcile bank statements and other general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies</li><li>Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits</li><li>Assist with month end and year end close processes including journal entries, accruals and adjustments</li><li>Prepare flux analysis, ad hoc financial analysis, participate in special projects, and perform other duties as assigned</li><li>Collaborate with the finance team to streamline financial operations</li><li>Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, acting with trustworthiness and maintaining confidentiality. </li></ul>How to be successful in this role:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required</li><li>Demonstrated financial software systems competency; knowledge of NetSuite, Brex and Ramp preferred</li><li>3+ years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably within a dynamic or start up business environment</li><li>A strong familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements</li><li>Self-motivation and direction with the ability to prioritize while being highly deadline oriented</li><li>Strong communication skills, as well as Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of the larger finance team in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Have a continuous improvement mindset - always seeking ways to work smarter, not harder</li></ul>What you can expect as a Vantan:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Industry-competitive compensation</li><li>100% covered medical, dental, and vision benefits with dependents coverage</li><li>16 weeks fully-paid parental Leave for all new parents</li><li>Health &amp; wellness and remote workplace stipends</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Flexible work hours and location</li><li>Open PTO policy</li><li>9 paid holidays in the US</li><li>Offices in SF, NYC, Dublin, and Sydney</li></ul>To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The salary or OTE range for this position is $86,000 - $101,000.
