We are excited by a candidate eager to join a startup atmosphere, someone who will instill confidence in internal and external partners and improve results. As the ideal candidate, you'll need to prioritize opportunities. You will need to convey ideas and information through slides, and verbal and written materials. You must also manage tasks while keeping tasks prioritized. You also bring creative and strategic solutions to the table to help resolve problems and challenge current thinking. You will report to our Manager, Payroll Tax Consulting. This position is remote-friendly.</p><p><strong>Your background is:</strong></p><p><strong>Collaborative</strong> – Partner with fellow team members, peers, and able to connect ideas across internal and external opportunities</p><p><strong>Creative and Curious </strong>– Challenge traditional approaches, inquisitive with a fondness for looking for new opportunities</p><p><strong>Determined and Disciplined</strong> –Optimistic about what can be, persistent, looks for high levels of activity, expresses a fierce commitment to challenging status quo.</p><p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with others on this multi-year, major strategic initiative to build a new business.</li><li>Assist leadership with managing specific client relationships.</li><li>Lead client projects which include task management, file organization, project deadlines, and billing.</li><li>Provide clients with payroll tax consulting and guidance.</li><li>Help clients improve payroll tax processes.</li><li>Help clients identify and assess payroll tax refunds.</li><li>Provide clients with M&amp;A support to satisfy reporting requirements and secure savings. Provide federal and state audit support services.</li><li>Engage with federal, state, and local taxing authorities to resolve client matters.</li><li>Manage tax risk in a thoughtful, wise, and logical manner.</li><li>Assist leadership in research, publications, and presentations.</li><li>Grasp new concepts and learn a new business.</li></ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-qualifications"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Qualifications</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="qualifications"><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant payroll tax consulting experience</li><li>Eligible to represent clients before the IRS (enrolled agent, CPA, attorney)</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel spreadsheets</li><li>Experience managing client tax deadlines.
