We have an exciting opportunity for a Azure Cloud Architect to join our team.Responsibilities:<ul> <li>To provide Architecture Solution to Design and implement cloud data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.</li> <li>Migrate on-premises databases and data warehouses to Azure services such as SQL Database, SQL Data Warehouse, etc.</li> <li>Implement data processing pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps, Azure Kubernetes container and other big data services.</li> <li>Architect Azure data storage solutions utilizing storage services like Blob, Files, Table, etc.</li> <li>Design data integration between on-prem and cloud using Azure Data Factory and other tools such as Azure Synapse Analytics.</li> <li>Implement metadata management, data lineage, and auditing capabilities on Azure data platforms using Purview.</li> <li>Architect data analytics solutions on Azure using services like Synapse Analytics, Databricks and Machine Learning etc.</li> <li>Design scalable and high-performance data solutions leveraging caching, partitioning, etc.</li> <li>Implement data security controls across Azure data platforms and integrations.</li> <li>Support migrating big data workloads like Hadoop to Azure services like HDInsight.</li> <li>Automate data platform deployment and configuration using Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps.</li> <li>Lead development of policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Infrastructure and Information Technology within the enterprise.</li> <li>Work with stakeholders to understand their business needs and requirements.</li> <li>Develop technical solutions that meet those needs and requirements.</li> <li>Perform capacity planning and disaster recovery planning and design as applicable.</li> <li>Perform necessary infrastructure maintenance in accordance with policies.</li> <li>Lead the implementation of cloud data solutions.</li> <li>Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud data solutions.</li> <li>Stay up to date on the latest cloud data technologies.</li> </ul> BenefitsQualifications:<ul> <li>US Citizens only</li> <li>10+ years of experience in cloud data architecture with a focus on Microsoft Azure.</li> <li>Experience with data warehouse and big data technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, and Containers.</li> <li>Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.</li> <li>Experience with data analytics tools such as Stream Analytics, Power BI, and Time Series Insights.</li> <li>Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.</li> <li>Experience with monitoring and optimizing cloud data systems.</li> <li>Experience with designing and implementing data schemas.</li> <li>Experience with working in an Agile environment.</li> <li>Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li> </ul><ul> <li>Design scalable and high-performance data solutions leveraging caching, partitioning, etc.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of distributed, heterogeneous (Windows, Unix, etc.) scalable systems design; advanced knowledge of internet, intranet, and extranet systems design (security, content management, eCommerce, web, and application servers).</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of high availability/fault-tolerant systems design and transparent application fail-over; advanced knowledge of relational and spatial database design, logical and physical system architecture, and object-oriented analysis and design.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of replication, backup, and disaster recovery design; knowledge of IT governance and operations+E92.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of SOA concepts and related frameworks; advanced knowledge of system sizing, capacity planning and performance tuning, and storage and area network architecture.</li> <li>Implement data security controls across Azure data platforms and integrations.</li> <li>Support migrating big data workloads like Hadoop to Azure services like HDInsight."</li> <li>Automate data platform deployment and configuration using Terraform, ARM templates and Azure DevOps.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills (written and oral); ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand</li> </ul>
