Rize is a higher education company in partnership with the Lower Cost Models for Independent Colleges (LCMC) Consortium. The LCMC, formed in 2015, is pioneering an innovative course-sharing model to help private colleges and universities grow enrollment through new degree programs while streamlining and lowering institutional costs.

You will work at the intersection of marketing and sales to research, qualify, engage, and grow our college pipeline. You know that every touchpoint matters, so you love diving into data to meaningfully personalize 1:1 outreach to develop relationships with potential partners. Reporting to the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/meganakauffman/">Head of B2B Marketing</a>, you will be responsible for engaging target accounts and supporting strategic partnerships and events. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll initiate communication with marketing-engaged accounts through calling, email, and direct mail, research potential accounts using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo, and work on establishing long-term relationships within the higher education industry. You’ll also help support broader marketing activities, including webinars and conferences. This is an ideal role for someone who is hungry to grow and enjoys wearing many hats. If you’re excited by the intersection of sales and marketing and looking to join a high-performing, mission-driven team, this role is for you!<h2>Responsibilities</h2>You will work on the front lines, along with the rest of the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jimmypawelski?utm_source=share&amp;utm_campaign=share_via&amp;utm_content=profile&amp;utm_medium=ios_app">Rize B2B Marketing Team</a>, to deliver on one of the company’s three key goals for 2024 via the following responsibilities:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Lead prospecting: utilizing tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other means of business and competitive intelligence gathering to identify, rank, prioritize, and initiate communication with potential colleges</li><li>Maintain Salesforce to log activities and intelligence, update information, add contacts, and enter new accounts from your target lists</li><li>Communicate Rize’s value proposition in both written and spoken form</li><li>Deliver thoughtful, in-the-moment 1:1 marketing initiatives</li><li>Manage conference logistics to drive in-person engagement</li><li>Execute on strategic partnership initiatives to maximize relationship building opportunities </li><li>Maintain a relentless “on-the-pulse” level of understanding of the higher education industry’s competitive landscape through research and industry event participation</li><li>Develop an expert-level understanding of Rize academic programs in order to answer questions, identify and create solutions, and clearly communicate unique product selling points and benefits to enhance our prospective partners’ campuses</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>1 to 2 years experience in sales, marketing, research, or customer service.</li><li>Proven track record of developing relationships with prospective customers. </li><li>Detail-oriented, positive-minded, and quick learning self-starter.</li><li>Analytical mindset and passion for problem-solving.</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced start-up environment.</li><li>Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM systems.</li><li>Bonus points for being passionate about education.</li><li>This position can be in person (office in Soho, NYC) or remote.</li></ul><h2>Compensation</h2>Compensation will vary with experience, but a rough range will be:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Salary: $70k-$85k base plus performance bonus ($90k-$105k on target earnings)</li><li>Equity: 2,500 - 5,000 shares</li></ul>
