<h1 style="margin-top:21px;">Job Summary:</h1>Seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer I to join our team. The candidate will support a growing Cloud Services practice. The candidate will support GAMA-1's growing Cloud Services practice. In particular, the successful candidate will help drive GAMA-1's efforts to support of its customers strategic initiatives.&#160; These strategic cloud initiatives intend to increase the bureau's IT efficiency, improve IT delivery, and reduce costs.&#160;&#160;The&#8194;ideal candidate&#8194;will&#8194;have hands on experience administering cloud technologies. <h1>Supervisory Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-left:8px;">Non-Supervisory Role </li></ul><h2 style="margin-top:15px;margin-bottom:5px;">&#160;Duties/Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">Direct the cloud administrative duties within a cloud environment (s) Including, but not limited to, Compute, storage, and notification and queue management, and infrastructure as Code (IaC)</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">Direct the assemble and documentation of agile-related artifacts (i.e., from user studies, backlog management activities, etc.).&#160; </li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">Provide guidance regarding infrastructure movement techniques including application transfer/migration into the cloud.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">Direct the development of cloud business best practices and processes.&#160; </li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">Work&#8194;directly with&#8194;multiple&#8194;teams&#8194;and&#8194;business&#8194;units&#8194;to&#8194;understand&#8194;business&#8194;needs and translate those to IT/business capabilities</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">Participate as part of UAT and development process (as needed)</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li>8+ years&#8217; experience administrating cloud compute, storage, and infrastructure as Code (IaC)</li><li>Experience using coding languages such as Perl, Java, PowerShell, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.</li><li>Hands-on experience using cloud services, containerization technologies, to include building Docker Container Images, scripting languages, open standard data interchange formats, job scheduling and management software tools (ECR, EKS, YAML, PYTHON, JSON, OpenPBS).&#160; </li><li>Experience with Amazon Web Services, code-defined infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD</li><li>Experience with AWS Lambda and &#8220;Serverless&#8221; systems</li><li>Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments</li><li>Strong verbal and communications skills, working with senior leadership and across organizational teams</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms)</li><li>Excellent communication and writing skills</li></ul>Desired: <ul><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">Federal government experience</li><li>Working&#8194;knowledge&#8194;of&#8194;Jira&#8194;projects,&#8194;workflows,&#8194;issue&#8194;types,&#8194;permissions,&#8194;and&#8194;notifications</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">2+ years&#8217; experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, BitBucket</li></ul><h2 style="margin-top:15px;margin-bottom:5px;">Education and Experience:</h2><ul><li style="margin-bottom:4px;">BS/BA in Computer Science, a Technical Field, or other related disciplines OR 4+ years of experience supporting an AWS</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Preferred Certifications:&#160;AWS Certified Solutions Architect &#8211; Associate, Architect with Google Cloud Platform: Infrastructure</li></ul>This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. The base salary range for this position is: $106,703.56 - $150,413.45This base salary range represents a general guideline. An individual’s base salary within that range is determined based on a variety of factors, including (without limitation) the scope, complexities, and responsibilities of the position, the government contract to which the position is assigned, geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and skills.
