About the Role Sync.com is looking for a decisive and insightful DevOps engineer to join the company. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that enable our development teams to build, test, and release software efficiently. You will play a vital role in our organization's software development and deployment processes. Your primary objective will be to streamline software development, deployment, and operations using modern tools, technologies, and best practices. Responsibilities<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Install, configure and manage servers, networking equipment, and related components, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure timely detection and resolution of issues within the infrastructure.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Analyze system performance and identify areas for optimization, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Implement best practices for securing hardware and network infrastructure, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to hardware and network security.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and network-related incidents, working closely with software developers to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Provide timely response to critical incidents and participate in on-call rotation as needed.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Share knowledge and expertise with team members to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for the existing infrastructure.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary infrastructure and tools to support their workflows.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Research and recommend innovative solutions, and where possible, automate key administration tasks.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px;">Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li style="margin-left:32px;">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Overall, 8 + years of experience working on DevOps technologies.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on hardware and network infrastructure.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Expertise in Ansible, Shell scripting, database queries</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, VPN, and load balancing.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Familiarity with hardware components, server provisioning, and data center operations.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and task orchestration.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Lxc, Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Complete proficiency in Linux, especially on the CLI.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Experience with tools such as Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Solid understanding of Cloud infrastructure</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">The candidate is expected to have a strong knowledge of the CICD development process and experience with any well-known CI platforms like Jenkins, Bitbucket CI, GitLab CI, Travis CI, or CircleCI</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to drive success.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying and managing applications and infrastructure in the cloud.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;">Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency with containerization tools like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes for managing containerized applications at scale.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:11px;">Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk to track system performance, detect issues, and maintain
