Director,&#8239;Consumer Insights &amp; Data&#8239;Analytics&#8239;&#160;&#160;Position Overview:&#8239;&#8239;&#160;&#160;The&#8239;Director of Consumer Insights &amp; Data Analytics will play a key role in&#8239;Brilliant Earth&#8217;s&#8239;mission by helping the company better understand how consumers&#8239;think and act through the Jewelry purchase.&#8239; You will drive and communicate insights to optimize customer behaviors and the purchase journey, identify key segments across our customers, and drive marketing activities through data. You will play a key role in driving the data foundation, creating tools, defining best practices, and building Brilliant Earth&#8217;s data and analytics strategy.&#160;&#160;As the Director, Consumer Insights &amp; Data Analytics, you&#8239;will&#8239;lead&#8239;a team to work&#8239;cross-functionally&#8239;and collaboratively&#8239;to ensure that the insights of their work are incorporated across company plans from marketing to product development to the&#8239;showroom experience.&#8239;&#160;&#160; What you&#8217;ll do:&#8239;&#8239;&#160;&#160;Business and Consumer Insights:&#160;&#160;<ul><li>Lead path to purchase research across categories, identifying new areas to increase overall site conversion, optimize performance and improve the customer journey.&#160;</li><li>Develop insights on shifting customer perception toward categories and the corresponding impacts on shopping behaviors.&#160;</li><li>Identify growth opportunities by analyzing user behavior, navigation patterns, page performance and conversion funnels&#8239;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Understand and define the key factors in&#8239;ecommerce&#8239;and showroom&#8239;experience for Brilliant&#8239;Earth&#8239;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Develop tools to understand and track brand strength for Brilliant Earth focused on changes in&#8239;awareness,&#8239;familiarity and&#8239;consideration over&#8239;time.&#160;&#160;</li></ul>Consumer Segmentation&#8239;and CRM:&#160;&#160;<ul><li>Develop&#8239;consumer&#8239;cohort&#8239;and purchase behavior&#8239;analyses&#8239;across purchase channels,&#8239;to better understand and drive repurchase and&#8239;lifetime&#8239;value&#8239;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Provide customer insights for brand, performance marketing and CRM&#8239;teams for for use in optimizing marketing strategies and tactics.&#160;&#160;</li><li>Develop a reporting framework to&#8239;continuously&#8239;measure&#8239;repurchase &amp;&#8239;lifetime&#8239;value.&#160;&#160;</li><li>Play a key role in the development and data foundation required to support a Brilliant Earth loyalty program.&#160;&#160;</li></ul>Marketing Data &amp; Analytics:&#160;&#160;<ul><li>Provide analytics and&#8239;insights&#8239;to stakeholders within&#8239;the ecommerce&#8239;and brand teams focused on both upper and lower funnel marketing activities.&#8239;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Lead marketing campaign analysis across all channels including CRM, Social, Organic, and Performance and build processes which enable comparison of campaigns over time.&#160;&#160;</li><li>Develop full funnel attribution frameworks with consideration for transactions and activities which lead to transactions.&#160;&#160;</li></ul>Business tools and monitoring:&#160;&#160;<ul><li>Create&#8239;self-service analytics&#8239;reporting&#8239;structures which enable data driven decision making to scale efficiently across the organization.&#160;&#160;</li><li>Develop reliable forecasting processes for key activities and business processes across the organization as a foundation for business health monitoring.&#160;&#160;</li><li>Develop monitoring tools and capabilities, ensuring business foundations and processes are functioning as expected and automatically alert business teams if outlier conditions exist.&#160;&#160;</li></ul>Data foundations:&#160;&#160;<ul><li>Lead and educate the organization&#8239;on digital&#8239;analytics; drive data and analytics best practices.&#160;&#160;</li><li>Ensure data source and tagging stability, focused on repeatable insights which can be trusted by business owners and teams.&#160;&#160;</li><li>Ensure projects and platform changes across the organization consider analytics, and new capabilities are building upon the data foundation.&#160;&#160;</li><li>Provide leadership in driving the organization&#8217;s data strategy and data foundations to ensure the organization is using data effectively and scaling sufficiently to support the business.&#160;&#160;</li></ul> You&#8217;re a great candidate if you have:&#8239;&#160;&#160;<ul><li>10+&#8239;years of relevant&#8239;Consumer Insights&#8239;and&#8239;Digital&#8239;Analytics&#8239;leadership&#8239;experience&#8239;&#8239;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Robust understanding of data and analytics technology.&#160; Experience leading strategy and implementation for platforms and tools such as GA4, Domo, Snowflake&#160;</li><li>Demonstrated experience providing insights relating to digital marketing channels and activities (Paid Search, SEO, Affiliates, Display, Paid Social)&#160;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Experience leading and driving consumer journey and website experience optimization analytics&#160;&#160;</li><li>Experience defining, developing and communicating&#8239;CRM and Consumer cohort insights&#8239;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Experience&#8239;in consumer segmentation and developing a&#8239;data-based&#8239;cohort&#8239;modeling&#160;&#160;</li><li>The ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences&#8239;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Robust analytic, quantitative, statistical, and data interpretation skills, ability to transform data into actionable&#8239;insights&#8239;&#160;&#160;</li><li>Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, with a track record of driving results through effective team management and mentorship.&#160;</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.&#160;</li><li>Self-starter with a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit, able to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment while maintaining a focus on achieving both business and social goals.
