If you have a passion for helping cutting-edge startups succeed, we'd like to talk!Your Typical, Atypical, Day<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>The Director of Income Tax is responsible for applying industry-specific knowledge to advise clients on the tax implications of their business objections, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, and identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues.</li><li>In this role, the Director of Income Tax is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues, and recognizing, communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy, and making top-level decisions regarding filing, preparation, and resolution of questions from federal / state agencies.</li><li>In addition, you will be a critical member of the leadership team and thus will be involved in direct supervision as either a final or secondary reviewer.</li><li>Finally, you will actively participate in marketing, networking, and business development within an area of expertise and specialization while maintaining client relationships.</li></ul> About You<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Tax, or Finance.</li><li>MAcc (Master's of Accounting)  or MST (Master’s of Taxation) degree preferred.</li><li>At least 10 or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience required.</li><li>Strong managerial, supervisory, and decision-making skills to direct staff daily to achieve department and client goals.</li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>CPA certification required, or Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction). </li><li>Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to compose written tax advice.</li><li>Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationship</li><li>Ability to delegate work properly, follow-up, and resolve problems firmly and equitably.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Flexible work schedule to promote a healthy work-life balance.</li><li>Medical, Dental &amp; Vision Insurance for you and your dependents.</li><li>Short &amp; Long Term Disability Insurance to support you when you need it the most.</li><li>Flexible PTO - Take time off from work when you need it.</li><li>401k with a company match to ensure you are ready for retirement.</li><li>A generous home office expense reimbursement so you have the office you need to be productive.</li><li>Forget the commute! Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition full-time regular positions are eligible for, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time.
