About World Business Lenders (www.wbl.com):World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding.This is a Contract/Consultant position. Generally, working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language.Resumes must be submitted in English.This is a key leadership position that will enable the successful candidate to join a rapidly growing company, report directly to and work closely with the Financial Controller and play a critical senior role in the Finance department.Requirements<ul> <li>Co-lead and manage accounting department staff and related functions, including accounting for fixed assets, Performing Loans, NPL and REO, fees, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses between others.</li> <li>Ensure conformity accounting standards and best practices in accordance with GAAP.</li> <li>Oversee WBL’s ledger and financial accounts and other financial reporting functions.</li> <li>Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of financial statements and related reports</li> <li>Guarantee compliance with all applicable accounting policies, procedures, processes and internal controls.</li> <li>Manage the reconciliation of all GL accounts.</li> <li>Work in collaboration with the Audit Department to Oversee monthly close and annual reporting for 1099s and K-1s.</li> <li>Ensure timely vendor payments, review and monitor accounts payable aging analysis.</li> <li>Other projects and duties as assigned.</li> </ul>Requirements:<ul> <li>CPA in active status required.</li> <li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferred) in Accounting or Finance&nbsp;</li> <li>Work related experience required</li> <li>10-15 years general accounting experience and demonstrated technical accounting knowledge, ideally in a mortgage or business lending company.</li> <li>Experience with Sage GL is preferred. AP experience required.</li> <li>Proficiency in MS Office.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and analytical skills.</li> <li>High energy, positive attitude, proactive problem solver.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to concisely communicate.</li> </ul>Benefits<ul> <li>CONTRACT/CONSULTANCY POSITION</li> <li>Salary: DOE</li> <li>11 US Paid Holidays per year </li> </ul>
