Specific areas of focus will include:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Rize Learn, our custom-built learning management system, designed to improve student engagement, outcomes, and take the learning experience to the next level</li><li>My Career provides meaningful connections between course topics and student career goals, and helps students develop a plan to land the job they want after graduation</li><li>The Rize Platform, used by college registrars to sign students up for classes, is one of our most important focal points for generating revenue</li><li>Develop AI-powered tools to help our instructors and staff deliver better student experiences at scale, and student and instructor monitoring tools to ensure students get adequate support and do not fall behind in their classes</li><li>In the next 12 months, build the minimum viable product of the mobile versions for Rize Learn and My Career</li><li>Automated reporting to colleges to ensure they remain compliant with accreditors</li></ul>You will be tasked with the following responsibilities when working on these projects:<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Design, develop, test, ship, document, and maintain features across our suite of applications</li><li>Contribute to technical designs for features, provide meaningful feedback on code and technical design documents</li><li>Help develop our automated testing strategy, from unit to end-to-end testing</li><li>Help evolve, maintain, and monitor our system health metrics, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure fast incident response</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Relevant Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) and at least 3 years of experience as a software engineer or in a similar role.</li><li>Proven expertise in developing web applications using React, Node, and Typescript. Experience with Next.js is a strong advantage. Familiarity with technologies such as TailwindCSS, GraphQL, Python, and Ruby on Rails is a plus, but not required.</li><li>Experience building cross-platform mobile applications with React Native is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience working in a team environment, sharing knowledge through documentation, code reviews, and peer mentoring.
