About the Role The Group Executive Producer, Women’s Sports will be responsible for the oversight and growth of our slate of women’s sports podcasts. They will set a high creative standard and lead a team of producers, engineers, and video editors to deliver unmissable, industry-leading programming. While this is a managerial role that will work collaboratively across many teams including marketing, commercial, social, and the newsroom, the ideal candidate will have the ability to dive into the details of podcast production, work constructively with high-profile talent, and offer a strong point of view on content strategy. This a remote job based in the United States or Canada.\n Responsibilities<ul><li>Own the end-to-end creative direction, production, and performance of women’s sports shows on The Athletic Podcast Network.</li><li>Manage a team of full-time and freelance producers and engineers.</li><li>Work with show-specific groups to build forward-looking content plans across full seasons of programming.</li><li>Set a high-creative bar and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Collaborate with the video and social teams to build an effective strategy to grow our presence on YouTube and other social platforms.</li><li>Work with agents, talent, and internal partners to develop, staff, and launch impactful new shows.</li></ul> Requirements<ul><li>7+ years of experience developing and producing high-profile podcast content for publishers, studios, or platforms.</li><li>A deep understanding of women’s sports media with fluency in how topics are covered and discussed by fans.</li><li>Expert knowledge of podcasts including creative direction, structure, recording and editing.</li><li>Experience managing creative teams.</li><li>Self-starter with great time management skills.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and highly organized.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Some travel may be required.</li><li>This is a remote-based position in the United States or Canada.</li></ul> \nThe annual base salary range for this role is $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 USD. The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. It may also include non-cash rewards and benefits.
