A successful candidate will help set strategy, execute on schedule and be responsible for managing/presenting status and issues along the way. This position demands technical strengths in many areas, including optical, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing.What You'll Do<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>In this role, You will Lead end-to-end product development efforts; steer new programs from requirements definition through to validation, certification, ramp-up, and sustaining</li><li>Drive the development, planning &amp; execution of a holistic cross functional hardware product development and/or launch strategy. Provides technical leadership and identifies technical risks.</li><li>You’ll be responsible for defining and tracking critical program milestones and metrics, managing business and technology risks, and establishing clear priorities for team members. </li><li>Collaborate with internal and external technology development partners to form a cohesive development plan.</li><li>Drive vendors towards aggressive schedules and ambitious objectives. Proactively identify initiatives that are likely to fail and work with teams to develop alternative plans and solutions</li><li>Create clarity, alignment, and communication around key decisions that will affect the outcome of the program</li><li>Lead a wide variety of weekly meetings including vendor calls, internal team updates, and presentations with key leadership team members</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>7+ years of experience developing and shipping complex hardware products in consumer electronics, Medical devices or Optical products </li><li>Experience in all phases of new hardware design and development from architecture definition through shipping at volume, and for extremely complex or new product areas</li><li>Experience establishing operations at contract manufacturers from scratch in partnership with Factory Operations and Business Operations teams</li><li>Experience managing all facets of NPI engineering and transition to production readiness with deep understanding of the inter-dependencies between all disciplines. </li><li>Experience working with Product Managers, Packaging and Marketing teams with ability to understand their requirements alongside product technical requirements. </li><li>Ability to run hardware engineering program with minimum supervision </li><li>Ability to present to Executive teams in a fast paced environment</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30%</li><li>BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or allied technical subject</li></ul>Bonus Points For<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Dental Hardware Product experience </li><li>Doer with a strong sense of ownership - you understand your role is not just note-taker, risk manager, and taskmaster but rather your responsibility is to relentlessly drive progress forward</li><li>Strong professional references showcasing successful past projects.</li><li>High growth startup experience is a plus. </li></ul>Req ID: J-299We offer a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits including healthcare, dental, parental planning, mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.Dandy is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
