We are seeking a highly skilled JIRA Workflow Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in configuring, customizing, and maintaining JIRA workflows to support our agile development processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective workflow implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
<ol><li>Design, configure, and customize JIRA workflows to align with our organization's agile development methodology. </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into JIRA workflow configurations. </li><li>Implement best practices for workflow management, including issue types, statuses, transitions, and permissions schemes. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to JIRA workflows, including performance optimization and scalability. </li><li>Develop custom scripts, validators, post functions, and conditions using JIRA ScriptRunner or similar tools. </li><li>Provide guidance and training to users on JIRA workflow usage and best practices. </li><li>Continuously evaluate and improve existing workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency. </li><li>Stay updated on the latest features and updates in JIRA and recommend enhancements to optimize workflow processes.</li></ol>
Qualifications:
<ol><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. </li><li>Proven experience working with JIRA workflows in an agile software development environment. </li><li>Proficiency in JIRA administration, including workflow schemes, issue security, and project configurations. </li><li>Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). </li><li>Experience with JIRA add-ons and plugins, such as ScriptRunner, JIRA Service Desk, and Tempo. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex workflow requirements. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li></ol>
Preferred Skills:
<ol><li>Certification in JIRA Administration or Agile Development (e.g., Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator).</li><li>Experience with other Atlassian products, such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.</li><li>Knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, or JavaScript.</li><li>Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.</li><li>Experience with integration between JIRA and other tools/systems via APIs or webhooks.</li></ol>
