You will work with other tax specialists and cross-departmental teams within Burkland,  to consult clients and identify tax risks and opportunities, develop tax strategies, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. This role is great for anyone wanting flexibility, autonomy, and variety.Your Typical, Atypical, Day<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Accurately preparing, reviewing, and filing federal and multistate Corporate tax returns in a timely manner.</li><li>Manage multiple engagements and deliver high-quality products timely and efficient.</li><li>Review returns and research complex tax matters.</li><li>Management of projects to ensure quality deliverables are on time, in scope, and within budget.</li><li>Effectively managing, mentoring, and training your direct reports.</li><li>Developing relationships with clients and potential new businesses through constant communication and networking.</li><li>Consult clients on tax planning, income tax issues, and compliance.</li></ul>About You<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Must be an active CPA or Enrolled agent.</li><li>5+ years of income tax experience in a public accounting firm is required.</li><li>Experience in Tax Preparation and Review of Corporate Tax Returns including Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 5472, 8858, 8990, 8991, 8992, and 8993, required.</li><li>Strong knowledge of corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 accounting.</li><li>BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Tax, and/or Finance.</li><li>Knowledge of UltraTax is a plus.</li><li>Must have the ability to work remotely and independently.</li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong leadership and personnel management skills.</li><li>Strong project management and analytical skills.</li><li>Experience in a start-up environment is a plus!</li></ul>What We Offer<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Flexible work schedule to promote a healthy work-life balance.</li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Medical, Dental &amp; Vision Insurance for you and your dependents.</li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Short &amp; Long Term Disability Insurance to support you when you need it the most.</li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Flexible PTO - Take time off from work when you need it.</li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>401k with a company match to ensure you are ready for retirement.</li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>A generous home office expense reimbursement so you have the office you need to be productive.</li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Forget the commute! Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition, full-time regular positions are eligible for  401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time.
