Our story began in September of 1993 when TASER International was founded by CEO Rick Smith with his brother Tom Smith. They consulted with Jack Cover, former NASA scientist and inventor of the original TASER® conduct- ed energy weapons of the 1970s. Rick Smith was inspired to found the company after losing two high school football teammates who were shot and killed in a road rage incident. This experience led him to seek new technol- ogies that would enable people to protect themselves without deploying lethal force in hopes of creating a bullet-less world.

This is Our Moonshot
Gun-related deaths between police and the public have risen steadily for at least the past six years. In 2021 in the U.S., 1,118 people — 1,054 civilians and 64 officers — lost their lives in gun-related incidents between police and the public, according to leading data sources. In response, Axon is rallying partners around a “moonshot” goal to cut gun-related deaths between police and the public by 50% in 10 years.

Your Impact
A strategic business partner to our international teams and a broad set of key business stakeholders across the company to provide point of view on EMEA and APAC areas. This role will drive policy governance related to legal entity matters, internal controls processes, timely and accurate US GAAP and statutory accounting and reporting process. This role will also play a key role in integrating new EMEA and APAC ventures, businesses and operations. &nbsp;
This senior finance role oversees the US GAAP Close for the international legal entities and related statutory financial statements preparation and audits. This senior role may also serve as board of directors, managers or officers at international entities.&nbsp;
What You'll Do
Location:&nbsp;London or UK Remote Reports to:&nbsp;VP, Accounting
<ul>
<li> A thought leader to our international teams on business operations and growth.&nbsp;</li>
<li> Design and implement robust internal controls and processes to drive high quality US GAAP and local statutory Close and financial reporting.</li>
<li> Build a scalable statutory Close and reporting process in a high growth environment; co-lead and drive process transformation initiatives.</li>
<li> Monitor and oversee international ESG related reporting guidance such as CSRD for international legal entities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li> Develop and mentor a high performing team to meet rapid growth.</li>
<li> Liaise closely with external and internal auditors in executing audit plan.&nbsp;</li>
<li> Lead selected Controllership M&amp;A including process and system integration. Collaborate with key functional leaders such as supply chain, IT and operations on operational integration.&nbsp;</li>
<li> Support local financial operations, tax audits and treasury team on an as needed basis. For example, customers billing, cash collections, payables, vendor FX hedging and cash pooling programs.</li>
<li> A senior finance partner to our UK sales team including customer RFP submission.</li>
<li> Support our EMEA manufacturing and operational leaders on logistics and manufacturing processes on an as needed basis.</li>
<li> Support ad hoc Controllership projects that arise due to our rapid growth.&nbsp;</li>

What You Bring
<ul>
<li> 10+ years of relevant experience</li>
<li> BS or equivalent in accounting or finance</li>
<li> Chartered Accountant or CPA</li>
<li> Strong technical US GAAP knowledge&nbsp;</li>
<li> Manufacturing experience at complex and multi-national publicly-traded companies</li>
<li> Relevant industry experience in connected devices and software&nbsp;</li>
<li> Prior experience leading statutory reporting at publicly-traded companies and process transformation a plus</li>
<li> Strong business acumen&nbsp;</li>
<li> Strong leadership, communication, organization and technology skills</li>
<li> Executive presence and ability to communicate effectively&nbsp;</li>
<li> Experience in supporting a global organization across multiple time zones</li>
<li> Ability to manage multiple priorities&nbsp;</li>
<li> M&amp;A integration&nbsp;</li>
<li> Experience with Salesforce, D365, NetSuite and automation tools&nbsp;</li>
