We are looking for a linguist with native speaker fluency in Japanese to take the role of Language Lead for one of our key accounts. Lilt is a San Francisco and Berlin-based LSP with a translator-focused business model. We're building a community of the world's best translators around fast and fair payment, consistent work, and innovative neural MT technology. This is a remote, freelance position.The Language Lead responsibilities include:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Monitoring and distributing customer feedback</li><li>Liaising with translation team on customer feedback and other linguistic matters<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Meeting with linguist team as deemed necessary (ad hoc basis)</li><li>Providing Support to translators:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Query answering</li><li>Internal Review support</li><li>Lead performance improvement plan</li><li>Testing new candidates</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Gather queries from translators to be sent to customer, and distributing answers</li><li>Suggesting assets/guidelines update according to customer feedback</li><li>Updating, creating and sharing TSF, supplemental reference and training materials</li><li>Creating new instructions/best practices according to customer feedback</li><li>Acting as the main PoC between LILT and the translation team</li></ul>Requirements:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Linguists with native speaker fluency only</li><li>Minimum 2 years translation experience</li><li>Linguistic degree (preferred)</li><li>Previous experience in similar roles</li></ul>Benefits of becoming a Lilt freelance linguist:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Free access to our top-notch NMT technology + training on the system and support!</li><li>Rapid payments made via Payoneer; no more invoicing!</li><li>Become a part of the Lilt Translator Community</li></ul>If interested, please submit your application including an English copy of your CV/Resume.
