We are searching for a versatile translator who can bridge the linguistic gap in diverse scenarios ranging from medical, legal, community, to everyday interactions. The Lead Translator will be responsible for overseeing translation projects, maintaining linguistic quality, and collaborating closely with a team of translators. This role involves leading translation projects, performing translations, quality assurance, and contributing to process improvement efforts.Key Responsibilities:<ol> <li> Translation Leadership:<ul> <li>Lead and coordinate translation projects from start to finish.</li> <li>Assign tasks to translation team members and manage their workflow.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.</li> </ul> </li> <li> Translation and Proofreading:<ul> <li>Perform translation and proofreading tasks for a variety of content types, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.</li> <li>Translate content from source languages to target languages.</li> </ul> </li> <li> Quality Assurance:<ul> <li>Conduct linguistic quality assessments and reviews to maintain the highest translation quality.</li> <li>Develop and enforce translation and quality assurance standards.</li> </ul> </li> <li> Team Collaboration:<ul> <li>Foster a collaborative work environment and provide guidance and mentoring to junior translators.</li> <li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.</li> </ul> </li> <li> Terminology Management:<ul> <li>Maintain and update terminology databases and glossaries.</li> <li>Ensure consistency in terminology across translation projects.</li> </ul> </li> <li> Process Improvement:<ul> <li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.</li> <li>Participate in the development and implementation of best practices and workflow enhancements.</li> </ul> </li> <li> Client Communication:<ul> <li>Collaborate with clients to understand their specific translation requirements and preferences.</li> <li>Address client feedback and ensure client satisfaction.</li> </ul> </li> </ol>Requirements<ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).</li> <li>7 years of experience in translating documents, medical, legal </li> <li>2 years of managing a translation team</li> <li>Proven experience in translation, including experience in a lead or senior translator role.</li> <li>Proficiency in multiple languages, including fluency in source and target languages.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills in both source and target languages.</li> <li>Familiarity with translation software and CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools.</li> <li>Strong project management and organizational skills.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</li> </ul> <ul><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>Benefits<ul> <li>Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental &amp; Vision)</li> <li>Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick &amp; Public Holidays)</li> <li>Work From Home</li> </ul>
