Common App is currently searching for a Manager of Cyber Security Programs&nbsp;RESPONSIBILITIESAs a member of the Technology Operations team, and reporting to Director, Technology Operations this position will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and overseeing the organization's cyber security program to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves strategic planning, risk management, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration to safeguard the organization's information assets.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSThis role requires:<ul> <li>Candidates must live in the United States.</li> <li>4-6 years of experience in a cyber security, IT audit, or enterprise risk management (ERM) role.</li> <li>1-2 years of experience as a people manager</li> <li>Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, COBIT, NIST 800).</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, cyber security, or a relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of cyber security practices, computer networking protocols, and risk management processes.</li> <li>Strong understanding of cyber security laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.</li> <li>Proficiency in auditing technical systems and implementing software quality control processes.</li> <li>Ability to analyze processes to ensure conformance with procedural requirements.</li> <li>Skill in integrating information security requirements into the procurement process.</li> <li>Proven experience in program and project management within a cyber security context.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.</li> <li>Strong leadership and team management skills.</li> <li>Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.</li> <li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable policies and procedures.</li> <li>Strategic Planning: Implement departmental strategies aligned with organizational goals.</li> <li>Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on data and critical analysis.</li> <li>Team Building: Recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.</li> <li>Performance Management: Evaluate and optimize team performance and individual contributions.</li> </ul><ul><li>Process Improvement: Critically evaluate team process and team capacity and suggest opportunities for growth and improvement.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>The ideal candidate will possess:<ul> <li>Master’s degree in Information Technology, cyber security, or a relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)</li> <li>Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)</li> <li>Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)</li> <li>Knowledge of supply chain risk management standards and best practices.</li> <li>Experience with cyber security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM systems.</li> <li>Skill in performing comprehensive risk assessments and network data analysis.</li> <li>Experience in developing risk acceptance documentation for senior leaders.</li> <li>Strong experience in Infrastructure, Engineering, and Cloud domains&nbsp;</li> <li>A passion for higher education is a plus.&nbsp;</li> </ul>PAY RANGE$95,000 - $104,199BenefitsCommon App is a virtual first environment.
