BRIEF SUMMARY: A member of a legal team that has extensive knowledge of the law and legal matters, but is not necessarily a qualified lawyer. The Paralegals perform a variety of tasks to support lawyers including maintaining and organizing files, conducting legal research, and drafting documents. JOB TASK:<ul> <li>Draft and file documents in court</li> <li>Write demand letters</li> <li>Write letters of representations and motions</li> <li>Create a record chart and record summary for each client case</li> <li>Draft pleadings and petitions</li> <li>Draft Petitions and Discovery</li> </ul> RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:<ul> <li>A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Law graduate</li> <li>With at least 1 year of work experience as a Paralegal.</li> <li>With an experience in a US Law firm is a plus!</li> <li>With a solid knowledge of legal terminology, legal procedure, and substantive law</li> <li>Understands the principles of legal writing</li> <li>Knowledge of attorney-client relationships applicable to the performance of major duties and responsibilities of the position</li> <li>Master skills in basic principles, concepts, and methodology of legal proceedings and legal research</li> <li>Excellent English oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook</li> <li>Has exceptional organizational skills and is able to multi-task</li> <li>Ability to work with databases and online technological platforms</li> <li>Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible</li> <li>Ability to handle conflicting time demands and focus on task completion with little direction or need for supervisory follow-up</li> <li>Proficient command of the English language in both oral and written format</li> <li>Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various backgrounds and professional competencies</li> <li>Committed to maintaining integrity and confidentiality on behalf of the company, the firm, and its clients</li> <li>Willing to work on the Pacific Daylight Time schedule</li> <li>Own a Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above) with an internet connection of at least 10mbps</li> </ul>BenefitsWhat we offer:<ul> <li> Salary Rate:<ul> <li>Local experience: $5 / hr (40 hrs per week)</li> <li>w/ US Law firm experience: $6/ hr (40 hrs per week)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Wi-Fi subsidy after the 3rd month</li> <li>HMO Subsidy or Coverage (Depending on the location)</li> <li>Performance Incentives</li> <li>Work 100% from home</li> </ul>
