Salary based off of experience&#160;&#160; Position Overview: The Municipal Project Engineer will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, regulatory requirements, and project management practices. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes on a variety of municipal projects.Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Project Planning and Design:<ul><li>Lead the planning and design of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and drainage systems.</li><li>Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering analyses to inform project design decisions.</li><li>Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for project proposals.</li></ul></li><li>Regulatory Compliance:<ul><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements.</li><li>Obtain necessary permits and approvals for project implementation.</li></ul></li><li>Project Management:<ul><li>Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.</li><li>Coordinate project activities, resources, and subcontractors to ensure timely and successful project delivery.</li><li>Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address issues as they arise.</li></ul></li><li>Client Communication:<ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Communicate project updates, milestones, and deliverables to clients in a clear and professional manner.</li><li>Address client concerns and proactively manage expectations to ensure client satisfaction.</li></ul></li><li>Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):<ul><li>Implement QA/QC processes to ensure the accuracy and quality of project deliverables.</li><li>Review engineering drawings, calculations, and reports to verify compliance with standards and specifications.</li></ul></li><li>Team Leadership:<ul><li>Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior engineers and project team members.</li><li>Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.</li></ul></li></ol>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required.</li><li>7+ years of experience in municipal engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.</li><li>Proficiency in engineering software/tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management software.</li><li>Strong understanding of engineering principles, codes, and standards.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.</li></ul>
