Position Overview: The QA Facilities Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational integrity of our facilities and equipment. This position involves performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to uphold facility cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Facility Maintenance:<ul><li>Conduct routine inspections of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, to identify and address maintenance needs.</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as filter replacement, equipment lubrication, and system checks, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.</li><li>Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations.</li></ul></li><li>Equipment Maintenance:<ul><li>Maintain and repair production equipment, machinery, and tools to ensure reliability and operational efficiency.</li><li>Perform regular inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.</li><li>Coordinate with equipment vendors and external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance as needed.</li></ul></li><li>Safety and Compliance:<ul><li>Monitor facility conditions and equipment operation to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.</li><li>Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace hazards and promote a safe working environment for employees.</li><li>Participate in safety training programs and emergency response drills to enhance preparedness and awareness.</li></ul></li><li>Documentation and Reporting:<ul><li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment maintenance logs.</li><li>Document repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance metrics to track maintenance history and identify trends or recurring issues.</li><li>Generate reports and communicate maintenance status, findings, and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.</li></ul></li><li>Continuous Improvement:<ul><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives related to facility and equipment maintenance.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, standardize procedures, and optimize maintenance workflows.</li><li>Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory updates relevant to facilities maintenance and quality assurance.</li></ul></li></ol>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in facilities maintenance or related field preferred.</li><li>2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical equipment, and maintenance procedures.</li><li>Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems maintenance and repair.</li><li>Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.</li><li>Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</li></ul>
