This is a remote position. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Evaluate and adjudicate complex claims, including those in litigation, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Conduct comprehensive investigations to confirm coverage and assess liability, utilizing strong analytical skills to inform decisions.</li> <li>Prepare detailed file summaries for internal reporting, large loss assessments, and reinsurance purposes, ensuring all pertinent information is accurately documented.</li> <li>Handle stressful calls with professionalism, delivering clear and factual information to facilitate informed decisions on claims.</li> <li>Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing overall team performance.</li> <li>Effectively manage a busy day-to-day schedule, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining quality in claims processing.</li> <li>Ensuring compliance of company’s safety policy and procedure by regular review meetings with staff and monitoring company’s CVOR-safety rating, driver vehicle inspections on monthly basis.</li> <li>Processing IRP applications and creating truck binder for owner operators by making sure all the truck authority documents are updated.</li> <li>Maintaining complete and accurate records of tractor and trailer maintenance files such as preventive maintenance bills for owner operator and company units as well.</li> <li>Ensuring all accident claims are registered with updated documents, adjust physical damage claims including unreported damage claims.</li> <li>Discuss accidents, damage, preventability and processes with commercial vehicle operators. Maintain files for litigation, subrogation, physical damage, liability and workers compensation claims.</li> <li>Evaluating company’s safety rating by regularly updating and monitoring Risk factor spreadsheet.</li> <li>Reviewing and persistent follow up on traffic tickets, convictions and accidents.</li> <li>Reviewing CVOR, applying and renewing permits, IRP applications.</li> <li>Selects, directs and manages vendor relationships including towing companies, body shops, garage and parking/storage yards to get accurate costs as needed in settlement of claims</li> <li>Order police reports, Set-up new claim files, confirmation of loss to insurer &amp; broker</li> <li>Be available on-call for nights and weekends for serious accidents and other duties as necessary.</li> </ul>Requirements<ul> <li>Post-secondary education in an Insurance program or related program.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of liability claim handling experience in different states</li> <li>Experience with commercial lines and transportation liability</li> <li>Strong technical skills with MS Office Suite</li> <li>Ability to communicate with Claimants, Brokers, and Legal Counsel</li> <li>Good time management with an ability to prioritize and delegate work amongst a group</li> <li>Able to work in a loud, fast-paced environment</li> <li>Available to work on some weekends</li> </ul>Benefits<ul> <li>Competitive Salary</li> <li>Healthcare Benefit Package</li> <li>Career Growth</li> </ul>
