Our story began in September of 1993 when TASER International was founded by CEO Rick Smith with his brother Tom Smith. They consulted with Jack Cover, former NASA scientist and inventor of the original TASER® conduct- ed energy weapons of the 1970s. Rick Smith was inspired to found the company after losing two high school football teammates who were shot and killed in a road rage incident. This experience led him to seek new technol- ogies that would enable people to protect themselves without deploying lethal force in hopes of creating a bullet-less world.

This is Our Moonshot
Gun-related deaths between police and the public have risen steadily for at least the past six years. In 2021 in the U.S., 1,118 people — 1,054 civilians and 64 officers — lost their lives in gun-related incidents between police and the public, according to leading data sources. In response, Axon is rallying partners around a “moonshot” goal to cut gun-related deaths between police and the public by 50% in 10 years.

<p>As the Senior Financial Analyst, Commissions you will join forces across the finance organization and with key business leaders to ensure the efficient financial management and performance of the Sales function. <h4><strong>What You’ll Do&nbsp;</strong></h4>
<p><strong>Location: </strong>Remotely from the United States<strong>&nbsp;</strong><br><strong>Reports to:&nbsp;</strong>Finance Director, Commissions</p>
<ul>
<li>You will be supporting cross-functional business partners to help manage the commissions and variable incentives process end-to-end including technical development of executed commission plans (calculations and data management)</li>
<li>You will own and manage the commissions data, calculations, and reporting through the commissions management tool</li>
<li>You will prepare monthly/quarterly reconciliations, quality assessments and business impact analyses to track effectiveness of the executed plans systematically and strategically</li>
<li>You will assist with developing quarterly business reviews with Finance and Sales leaders, and performing other ad-hoc analysis</li>
<li>You will work cross functionally with Sales Strategy, IT, and Operations to provide operational oversight over commissions calculations, reporting and payout</li>
<li>You will develop and lead process improvement initiatives working across Finance and Accounting</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>What You Bring</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Accounting</li>
<li>2-4 years of experience in data modeling, business analytics, BI reporting in a dynamic environment</li>
<li>Experience with Commissions or Sales Operations preferred. Bonus if experience with commissions management tool (i.e. Xactly, CaptivateIQ, SPIFF, etc.)</li>
<li>Proven track record of owning projects and driving their completion cross-functionally</li>
<li>Experience driving process improvements focused on quality, timeliness and improved efficiency</li>
<li>Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills for frequent interaction with financial and non-financial business leaders</li>
<li>Ability to working independently with concern for quality and deadlines</li>
<li>Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit</li>
</ul>

<p><em>The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 74,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 120,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
