Our story began in September of 1993 when TASER International was founded by CEO Rick Smith with his brother Tom Smith. They consulted with Jack Cover, former NASA scientist and inventor of the original TASER® conduct- ed energy weapons of the 1970s. Rick Smith was inspired to found the company after losing two high school football teammates who were shot and killed in a road rage incident. This experience led him to seek new technol- ogies that would enable people to protect themselves without deploying lethal force in hopes of creating a bullet-less world.

This is Our Moonshot
Gun-related deaths between police and the public have risen steadily for at least the past six years. In 2021 in the U.S., 1,118 people — 1,054 civilians and 64 officers — lost their lives in gun-related incidents between police and the public, according to leading data sources. In response, Axon is rallying partners around a “moonshot” goal to cut gun-related deaths between police and the public by 50% in 10 years.

Your Impact
As a Senior Revenue System Accountant, you’ll be at the intersection of finance and technology, ensuring the seamless operation of financial systems, data accuracy, and compliance.
What You'll Do
Location: Remotely from USA Reports to: Manager, Revenue Accounting
<ul>
<li>Lead month-end close activities related to revenue data processing and data reconciliation and to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness in financial reporting, all in accordance with GAAP.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot problems on complex revenue data sets and use effective data analytics skills to identify, analyze, and interpret how issues impact the revenue treatment to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the close and disclosure process. Scale and refine processes to improve efficiencies and incorporate best practices utilizing data to maximize process automation and reduce manual effort.</li>
<li>Provide training and support to end-users on RevStream processing. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to ensure users have a comprehensive understanding of the system and finance processes.</li>
<li>Assist with Transformation projects as assigned to improve the current process.</li>
<li>Review, test, and participate with implementation of system updates and other system configuration changes.</li>
<li>Develop reporting and analytics to support revenue management system integrations and system checks to ensure completeness and accuracy.</li>
<li>Implement controls and maintain proper process documentation and evidence in accordance with SOX.</li>
<li>Provide support for other ad hoc analyses, user acceptance testing, and revenue related projects as needed</li>
</ul>
What You Bring
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field</li>
<li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or ability to qualify, preferred</li>
<li>Minimum five (5) years of finance system and analysis experience, revenue a plus</li>
<li>Recent public accounting experience or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company highly desirable</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills are required for frequent interaction with financial and non-financial management</li>
<li>Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment</li>
<li>Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit</li>
<li>Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting</li>
<li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills</li>
<li>Concern for quality and deadlines</li>
<li>Change agent for process improvements</li>
<li>Experience working with Salesforce and RevStream is a plus</li>
<li>SQL Knowledge is a plus.</li>

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 80,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 140,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 90,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 180,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
