About the roleWe are looking for passionate engineers who are excited to build the identity layer for the internet. As an Infrastructure Engineer at Persona, you will be responsible for building, operating and monitoring the foundational components upon which our services are built. You will help empower our engineering organization to deliver product features to our customers rapidly, with high scalability, excellent resilience and cost effectiveness. Our infrastructure team operates remotely in the United States (with teammates in each time zone!), but commits to visiting our San Francisco HQ once a quarter to work together in person.&nbsp;\n What you'll achieve<ul><li>Embrace and champion engineering best practices within the product engineering teams</li><li>Work closely with product teams to plan and build scalable, resilient and cost-effective infrastructure systems that meet launch goals, reach new markets and scale with product demand</li><li>Partner with fellow engineering teams to deliver on complex initiatives together</li><li>Develop simple, elegant solutions to complex problems</li><li>You will work in a solution stack that extends all the way from complex back-end data through web services to highly usable web-based user interfaces</li><li>You will be able to directly shape system design, development methodologies, and implementation technologies</li></ul> What you'll bring to Persona<ul><li>BA/BS in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience</li><li>5+ years of work experience as an infrastructure engineer working with cloud-based infrastructure, online data stores and infrastructure-as-code pipelines</li><li>Experience in cloud-based infrastructure, familiarity with modern networking concepts and experience managing infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices</li><li>Experience managing and scaling containerized software deployment systems such as Kubernetes</li><li>Experience in Software development in one or more of the general-purpose programming languages: Ruby, Go, Python, Java, etc</li><li>Experience in working in high-energy small startup environments</li><li>Knowledge of and expertise in software engineering best practices for software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and management</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills</li><li>The ability to work effectively within a fully remote engineering environment</li></ul> \n<div>$190,000 - $260,000 a year</div><div>Offer and benefits</div><div>For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $190,000 - $260,000. Base salaries are just one component of the total compensation package and are determined by a number of factors such as years of experience, expertise, qualifications and more.
