Are you an experienced and creative VFX Artist who wants to create captivating in-game visual effects and shape the overall visual style of a brand-new game with a hugely popular IP?As a Senior VFX Artist on this unannounced open-world survival game in UE5, you will work closely with the Art Director to design and deliver dramatic and exciting effects. You will contribute to the style guide and collaborate across the team to transform ideas into fluid animations and rich effects, bringing the world of this game to life.This is an opportunity to take ownership of the VFX within a hugely passionate team, making a significant impact on the game and working cross-functionally to help our players feel a part of this world and make the team’s artistic vision a reality.What you’ll be doing:<ul> <li>Consistently deliver impressive, fantasy style visual effects that are dynamic and vibrant and communicate essential gameplay information</li> <li>Develop and evolve the VFX style so that it fits the world and makes the game as attractive and exciting as possible.</li> <li>Document the VFX style and educate others on it to ensure the VFX style is maintained through all projects within your own and colleagues work via coaching &amp; feedback.</li> <li>Work closely with our Designers to ensure all game play features are supported and amplified by informative and exciting VFX.</li> <li>Work closely with our Animators to ensure VFX syncs up with our animations and are correctly implemented in Unreal Engine.</li> <li>Collaborate with our Technical Artists, and Engine &amp; Tools developers to evolve our VFX technology, tools and pipeline to ensure they are as optimal as possible.</li> <li>Collaborate with Environment Artists to maximize the mood, appeal and sense of life and movement in all environments in the game.</li> <li>Develop, pitch and communicate ideas and concepts in a visual manner.</li> <li>Pro-actively identify production issues, seek solutions, source reference and guidance before solving or communicating them as appropriate in a self-sufficient manner. </li> </ul>What we’re looking for:<ul> <li>Demonstrable professional knowledge of the art and animation fundamentals that form the foundations of great VFX.</li> <li>A portfolio of work demonstrating your ability to create a variety of modern, high quality realtime VFX for games.</li> <li>Experience working in different styles including skills at creating stylized, hand painted VFX and sprite animation frames.</li> <li>Proven experience creating high quality VFX that run in realtime in Unreal Engine.</li> <li>Proven skills in basic management tasks including cross-functional communication and scheduling of personal tasks and any delegated support structure.</li> <li>Full understanding and experience of the entire game production cycle and associated issues.&nbsp;</li> </ul>What we offer:When you join Jagex you can look forward to a generous Perks &amp; Benefits package including:<ul> <li>Private Healthcare, including Dental Plan</li> <li>Minimum 6% Pension contributions</li> <li>Employee Assistance Programme &amp; onsite Counselling</li> <li>Life Insurance</li> <li>Discretionary annual performance bonus</li> <li>Enhanced family leave policies from day 1</li> <li>Flexible working hours</li> <li>25 days annual leave + Bank holidays &amp; the option to buy/sell holidays + so much more!</li> </ul>Collaboration is at the heart of Jagex.
