Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Site Inspector to evaluate locations for suitability as temporary housing sites. This role involves traveling to various sites, meeting with applicants, assessing property conditions, and preparing detailed site documentation. The ideal candidate is proficient in fieldwork, has a keen eye for detail, and is skilled in producing accurate site maps and reports. Job Duties and Responsibilities include:&#160;<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Travel to assigned sites to conduct in-person inspections, ensuring timely and professional engagement with applicants.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Assess the suitability of sites for temporary housing, considering environmental, zoning, and logistical factors.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Take high-quality photographs of the site, including key features and potential challenges.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Create to-scale site maps that include:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li style="margin-left:8px;">Property boundaries</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Coordinates (latitude and longitude)</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Locations of utilities (e.g., water, electricity, sewage)</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Placement of structures or other relevant features</li></ul></li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Document inspection findings in detailed reports for review.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Communicate clearly and effectively with applicants, explaining site requirements and processes. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Maintain accurate records of inspections, maps, and supporting documents.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> Skills and Competencies:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience performing residential inspections.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work in field inspection programs on a tablet.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Ability to work well and collaborate with team members.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px;">Ability to demonstrate empathy, maintain professionalism, and handle challenging situations appropriately.</li></ul> Required Education and Experience:&#160;<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience in site inspections, land surveying, or a related field.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Proficiency in drawing to-scale site maps (manual)</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Familiarity with GPS devices and coordinate mapping.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess suitability criteria.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Valid driver&#8217;s license and willingness to travel extensively to various sites.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Ability to work independently in the field and meet deadlines.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience with photography and basic photo documentation.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px;">Knowledge of utility infrastructure and placement is a plus</li></ul> All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
