As a Software Engineer in charge of engineering productivity, you’ll build and maintain the key tools and systems that the engineering team uses to build Weights &amp; Biases. You’ll partner closely with engineers around the organization to understand our various development workflows and brainstorm improvements. This is a brand new role, and as such you will have the opportunity to own the overall strategy, vision, and roadmap for how to boost engineering productivity.\n Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct user research with engineers to understand their needs and develop the roadmap for internal tools and systems.</li><li>Improve build safety and speed by optimizing existing build processes and implementing new tools and methodologies.</li><li>Ensure the reliability and availability of our Continuous Integration and build pipelines.</li><li>Develop and maintain solutions for both local and remote development environments.</li><li>Design and implement new tools for production and development deployments.</li><li>Leverage GenAI tools to enhance the engineering workflow, automating repetitive tasks and improving efficiency.</li></ul> What we're looking for (Requirements)<ul><li>A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience/qualification.</li><li>4+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 1 year of experience building tools for developers.</li><li>Deep knowledge of build systems (e.g., Bazel, Jenkins, GitLab CI).</li><li>Strong empathy for developers with a keen interest in understanding and addressing their challenges.</li><li>A self-driven attitude with a desire to find the path to greatest impact.</li><li>Strong interest in new technologies and a passion for staying abreast of the latest advancements in developer tools.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li></ul> Why join us?<ul><li>Top-tier machine learning teams rely on our tools for their daily work at companies including OpenAI, Toyota Research Institute, Lyft, Samsung, and Pandora.</li><li>You'll never stop learning. Weights &amp; Biases is committed to providing competitive salary, equity and benefits packages for all full-time employees. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and geographic location. </div>\n
