We are looking for an experienced Tax Associate to join our company. Tax Associates that work for SFR are entitled to create their Perfect Job Position. We are looking to hire an ambitious tax preparer and great communicator who wants to work full-time and support small to mid-size businesses &amp; individuals. This is a full-time, permanent position. You will play an important role in promoting our services and expertise to prospects and clients. Basic Functions: The Tax Associate would use their expertise to remotely prepare simple and complex, individual and business Federal and State tax returns. You will work closely with our clients, and support other tax preparers in day-to-day tasks related to preparation. You’ll review the accuracy of data on tax forms based on all tax rules and regulations. To succeed in this role, it’s important to have advanced mathematical skills and the ability to analyze complex data. Tax Preparation - Main Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Prepare Individual and business federal and state tax returns on behalf of clients.</li> <li>Electronically file tax returns on behalf of clients.</li> <li>Using applicable federal, state and local tax law to determine deductions and how much each client will pay or earn on the return.</li> <li>Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional accounting practices.</li> <li>During tax preparation, ensure compliance with government tax rules.</li> <li>Research and keep abreast of current IRS and state and local tax rules and regulations and ensuring full compliance.</li> <li>Meet with clients via virtual meetings as needed to answer questions and present tax returns.</li> <li>Answer tax- and finance-related questions.</li> <li>Identify tax savings and suggest ways to reduce taxation.</li> <li>Advise individuals and companies on tax strategies.</li> <li>Advise clients about tax liabilities and other tax-related matters.</li> <li>Estimate and track tax returns.</li> <li>Calculate and prepare tax payments for clients.</li> <li>Review data on reports and detect possible errors.</li> <li>Organize and analyze clients’ financial information.</li> <li>Establish and update client records.</li> <li>Collect data from income statements and expense documents.</li> <li>Complete clients’ tax documentation.</li> </ul>Team Collaboration:As a fully remote telecommuting position, communication is one of the most important and valued skills at Strategic Financial Reporting, Inc.
