We are hiring a Traveling Commercial Painter to ensure operational excellence as we scale the company nationwide. The primary responsibilities of this role are applying paint and coatings to various commercial surfaces while working in settings such as offices, warehouses, and construction sites. The ideal candidate will have basic painting skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors. The Impact You'll Make in This Role: The Traveling Commercial Painter is a highly skilled role and in this position, you will deliver high-quality painting services. The ideal Traveling Commercial Painter will also have the ability to adhere to safety protocols, operate painting equipment, and work collaboratively with other painters. As PaintJet’s Traveling Commercial Painter, you will: Painting Tasks: <ul><li>Apply paint and coatings to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.</li><li>Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.</li><li>Follow color schemes and coating specifications provided by project managers or clients.</li></ul> Surface Preparation: <ul><li>Clean and prepare surfaces before painting to ensure adhesion and a smooth finish.</li><li>Fill holes and cracks with appropriate fillers or sealants.</li><li>Mask and protect surrounding areas from paint splatter or overspray.</li></ul> Safety Compliance: <ul><li>Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.</li><li>Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while painting.</li><li>Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.</li></ul> Equipment Handling: <ul><li>Operate painting equipment such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, and sanders safely and effectively.</li><li>Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment after use.</li><li>Notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.</li></ul> Team Collaboration: <ul><li>Work collaboratively with other painters, contractors, and team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.</li><li>Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate any issues or concerns promptly.</li><li>Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.</li></ul> To set you up for success in this role from day one, PaintJet is looking for candidates who have the following: Skills, Abilities, Attitude <ul><li>Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment</li><li>Willingness to learn and develop painting skills through on-the-job training</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work</li><li>Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions</li><li>Can-do mindset with the ability to multitask and maintain composure during stressful situations</li><li>High aptitude to learn quickly, assimilate to new teams and projects, and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail</li><li>Strong interpersonal presence, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with people from various teams and various backgrounds</li><li>Ability to inspire and influence those around you, even without direct management responsibility</li><li>Comfortable with the pace and dynamic environment within a growing organization </li></ul> Education &amp; Work Related Experience <ul><li>High School diploma or GED required</li><li>Commercial painting experience required with basic knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation methods</li><li>OSHA-10 required </li><li>Aerial boom lift certification preferred</li><li>Moderate proficiency with email, Google sheets, MS Office Suite preferred</li><li>CPR and First Aid certification preferred</li></ul> Reasons why it pays to work at PaintJet (besides the pay itself!)
