Beauty & Grooming Journalist Intern

The Ambony is a digital platform that provides a curated mix of culture and lifestyle content for the audacious person of color. Our mission is to offer a space where our audience can engage with transformative ideas, enhance their well-being, and connect with the world's most influential cultural leaders.

The Aesthetics Journalist intern will cover men's and women’s skincare, hair care, grooming, and makeup-related content that identifies with and relates to The Ambony’s target demographic.

Responsibilities:

• A monthly column focused on women’s hair care.

• A monthly column focused on men’s hair care

• A monthly column focused on women’s makeup and skincare.

• A monthly column focused on men’s grooming and skincare.

Duration: 6 months

This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.

The candidate must have a deep interest in skincare, hair care, grooming, and makeup as it relates to aesthetics and our readers.

Must be conscious of our readers’ specific hair type and texture along with their specific skin type and texture. The journalist must write content that is reflective of this particular aesthetic.

The candidate must possess an aptitude/interest in skincare, hair care, grooming, and makeup for both men and women.

The candidate must have an appetite for the consumption of news and developments in the world of skincare, hair care, grooming, and makeup. Always looking for different ways to innovate their content concerning our diverse audience and their journalistic authenticity.
