Scope of the role:

We are seeking a Fractional HR Manager to provide both strategic and hands-on HR support on a part-time or project basis. This role is critical in strengthening people operations, guiding leadership on HR matters, and ensuring that HR practices scale effectively alongside company growth.

The ideal candidate has proven experience supporting remote teams, building HR systems from the ground up, and acting as a trusted advisor to leadership. You should be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable operating across multiple HR functions in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide fractional HR leadership and strategic guidance to founders and department heads
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, processes, and documentation
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Advise leadership on employee relations, HR best practices, and compliance considerations
  • Design and improve performance review processes and feedback systems
  • Support organizational planning and team structure as the company scales
  • Contribute to compensation framework design and talent retention strategies
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation, employee records, and internal systems
  • Partner with recruiting teams to support hiring processes as needed
  • Foster and promote a strong company culture aligned with mission and values

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or HR Business Partner roles
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, including onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a growing company environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience building HR processes and documentation from scratch (highly preferred)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and people operations tools
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
