Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connectors and SDKs, delivering high-performance data integrations with orchestration and AI tooling.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connector and SDK ecosystem.
- Build and maintain integrations with Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, and dbt.
- Drive AI/LLM integration strategy for RAG architectures and ML pipelines.
- Triage issues, support contributors, and shape the open-source roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and engineering teams to align integration work.
- Bring a practitioner’s perspective to roadmap decisions based on data workflows.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience, ideally with data engineering/science background.
- Production-grade Python connectors/SDKs or integrations experience.
- Strong Python data ecosystem knowledge (Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic).
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
- Hands-on AI/ML in data engineering contexts (embeddings, vector search, feature pipelines).
- Strong SQL, data modeling, and OLAP database knowledge.
- Experience with concurrent Python (threading, multiprocessing, async).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-team collaboration.
Nice to Have
- Production AI/ML model deployment experience.
- Data Engineer or Data Scientist in a product-facing role.
- Familiarity with ClickHouse or similar high-performance OLAP platforms.
- Familiarity with the JVM ecosystem.
