Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connectors and SDKs, delivering high-performance data integrations with orchestration and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connector and SDK ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain integrations with Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, and dbt.
  • Drive AI/LLM integration strategy for RAG architectures and ML pipelines.
  • Triage issues, support contributors, and shape the open-source roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and engineering teams to align integration work.
  • Bring a practitioner’s perspective to roadmap decisions based on data workflows.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience, ideally with data engineering/science background.
  • Production-grade Python connectors/SDKs or integrations experience.
  • Strong Python data ecosystem knowledge (Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic).
  • Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
  • Hands-on AI/ML in data engineering contexts (embeddings, vector search, feature pipelines).
  • Strong SQL, data modeling, and OLAP database knowledge.
  • Experience with concurrent Python (threading, multiprocessing, async).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-team collaboration.

Nice to Have

  • Production AI/ML model deployment experience.
  • Data Engineer or Data Scientist in a product-facing role.
  • Familiarity with ClickHouse or similar high-performance OLAP platforms.
  • Familiarity with the JVM ecosystem.
