Join Corva's dynamic team as a Field Engineer remote in North Dakota, and play a pivotal role in supporting our 24/7 operations. This role is perfect for those who love the field, as you'll be spending approximately 20 days a month on-site, bringing your expertise directly to where it's needed most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to various Drilling & Completions sites to conduct training sessions on the Corva platform.
- Perform installations of Corva Completions Hardware to facilitate data collection across a range of operations including Frac, Wireline, Pumpdown, and Coiled Tubing.
- Maintain meticulous records of field visits and manage hardware inventory efficiently.
- Provide on-call support for data-related issues, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted data flow.
- Establish and maintain clear communication channels among various field units and the Operations team back in Houston to resolve issues swiftly.
- Be prepared for extensive travel as this role requires 100% travel availability.
- Undertake other duties as necessary to support the team and operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the drilling or completions industry.
- In-depth knowledge of electronic drilling recorder systems and data management systems for completions.
- Exceptional time-management abilities and strong collaborative skills to work effectively with service companies.
- Proficient in identifying data anomalies and conducting problem-solving.
- Effective at training and imparting knowledge to others.
- Experience with drilling software and data analysis tools common in operations.
- Familiarity with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of tools and equipment.
- Physical fitness to work in various outdoor conditions, capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, and fulfilling other physical demands of the job.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Electronics Technician or Field Engineer in a Frac Service company.
- Valid Driver's License is a must.
- Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in any combination depending on job demands. The work schedule can also require extended out-of-town assignments for two to three weeks at a time.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols specific to the oil and gas industry.
Preferred Attributes:
- Associates Degree in Electronics.
- Experience in real-time drilling and completions operations.
- Familiarity with various Frac van software packages and oilfield service industry standards.
- Certifications like Safeland and H2S Training are advantageous.
Schedule and Benefits:
- 20 days on/10 days off, or 10 days on/5 days off.
- 12-hour workdays.
