Writer

Hästens is looking for a Writer — not a copywriter in the traditional marketing sense, but someone who can capture the culture, craft, and philosophy of the brand in language that matches the depth of what we make.

What you'll do

  • Write catalogue copy and campaign texts

  • Develop the Hästens Lexicon — the foundational vocabulary and reference document behind the brand's writing

  • Conduct interviews and document source references to build out the catalogue's foundation

  • Help conceive campaign texts and support transcreation of catalogue content across other channels

  • Help capture and convey Hästens' culture through writing — a core part of this role, not a side task

Who you are

  • A genuine love of language — you notice sentence structure, study how your favourite authors build a sentence, and know the precise meaning of the words you choose

  • Well-read in classic literature and history; you've read Shakespeare and it shows in how you think about craft

  • A deep, literary command of English — vocabulary, nuance, rhythm

  • You write concisely without losing meaning — every sentence earns its place

  • Thoughtful and reflective by nature, curious, and motivated by getting better at the craft for its own sake rather than by title or progression

  • You genuinely believe that quality and craftsmanship are worth paying for — this isn't a brand voice you perform, it's something you already hold to be true

Where and how you'll work

  • You don't need to live in Sweden, but the role does involve regular travel to Köping: roughly a few days each month on an ongoing basis

  • There's an initial training period in Köping, Sweden, before shifting to the regular monthly rhythm

  • Outside of that, you'll need your own space to write, away from Hästens' office — we'd like you to propose what that looks like for you, rather than us dictating it
