1071 | Senior Python Software Engineer - Airflow/Data Platform

Intetics Inc., a global technology company providing custom software application development, distributed professional teams, software product quality assessment, and “all-things-digital” solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Software Engineer — Airflow/Data Platform to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.

We are looking for a Senior Python Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Airflow DAG development, data pipelines, Elasticsearch, Superset, and Python-based services. This is not a pure backend API role. The engineer will work on critical data/platform services, investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements across data workflows, indexes, web applications, databases, and CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and support critical data/platform services.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Airflow DAGs written in Python
• Investigate issues related to data, DAGs, DAFFs, Elasticsearch indexes, Superset, and web applications
• Perform root cause analysis and propose practical solutions
• Implement new features and improvements in existing Python/Flask-based services
• Work with Elasticsearch indexing, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Work with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
• Support and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Propose improvements across application, data, infrastructure, and operational layers
• Communicate actively with the internal team and the client

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, including DAG development, orchestration, maintenance, and troubleshooting in production environments
• Proven production experience with Elasticsearch, including indexing, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Apache Superset, dashboards, and BI/data visualization workflows
• Experience with Flask
• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments
• Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in investigating production issues and performing root cause analysis
• Advanced English
• Technical degree
